  1. Not a great game from us, Geel looked like they were really grabbing and bumping and annoying our mids at stoppages and we didn't handle it. We also took the tackler on way to often, and maybe that was because we were to short up fwd and didn't have clear targets. Gawn and Jackson will be better for the run, Gawn didn't take any intercept marks which is not usual for him and he just looked like he lacked the extra energy to get to that kick behind the play. it will come back!
  2. Out: Weid, M. Brown In: Gawn, LJ Be interesting if they go with the smaller fwd line, or stick to our usual set up which means Weid stays in
  3. No he didn't, and even the players and goodwin say it was viney's stoppage work that set up harms that swung momentum. Even those goals at the end, Jackson lost both those taps and viney got both the clearances. Not too many 20yo key fwds have done much at thise stage of their career.
  4. And Viney, who had a hand in all those goals from centre clearances
  5. They have already said Darcy is going to play forward. Even if he is a stop gap, ya recon Ugle-Hagen is gonna play in the two's for another 3 years. It's just an opportunity to get a good young fwd. Like I said in the original post, picks will be different but futures and stuff will come into it. Too hard to do that
  6. Hagen is a no 1 draft pick who hadn't played footy for 2 years before he was drafted. He will be fine. I want Jacko to stay to, which is why this is a hypothetical. It was a good patch, but i still think Vineys hand in that quarter was just as good.
  7. Like I said different picks, I'm not going into futures and stuff. I don't know enough about it all. But they can't play Naughton, Bruce, Darcy, Ugle-Hagen and Lobb who they are reportedly very keen on.
  8. Like I said would be different picks. But they will have to give up something for lobb, and I can't really see how ugle-hagen fits in with Darcy coming through and their reported interest in Lobb
  9. Hagen and a first rounder. Don't get me wrong he was great for a 12min patch in the GF and is going to be a gun. Essentially, we get 2 first rounders for him which is what I'd expect
  10. Walker would be a perfect fit right now. But here is a bit of a left field trade scenario if, IF we can't keep Jackson. Melb Trade: Jackson & future 4th. Recieve: J. Ugle-Hagen & First Round Freo Trade: Lobb & First Round. Recieve: L. Jackson & Second Round Dogs Trade: J. Ugle-Hagen & Second Round. Recieve: Lobb & Future 4th Dogs really want Lobb, and apparently Jamarra isn't happy with not getting a game. He is too good a talent and them chasing Lobb doesn't look good for him. He would be a good prospect for our future teaming up with JVR. Obviously the picks would work out differently but just a rough idea.
  11. Travy14 replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree, good player. Great wingman but that money would be better spent on Jordon, Kossie, Sparrow ect
  12. He isn't even a Key Fwd in his own team. He has had to play more of a key fwd since Roughead retired. But he is as much a key fwd as Jackson is. Just cos a website says he is key fwd, he lines up in a fwd pocket every week.
  13. These are the same rankings that don't have Max Gawn as Elite. Also where is Fritsch's stats in this. Id say they are better in all but tackles.
  14. And 13kg lighter
  15. He might be 1cm shorter but he is also 13kg lighter. He doesn't play Key fwd. I Love Gunston, but doesn't fit our fwd line
  16. he isn't a key fwd, we already have the best version of Gunston's role in Fritsch
  17. we have got our injuries at the wrong time, just after the mid season draft
  18. yeh i didn't realise the turner inj, thats very disappointing. he looks to be a good size that can play on talls and med sized players. also realised my mistake on the tommo one, meant to be M. Brown
  19. FB: Salem May Bowie HB: Lever Petty Brayshaw C: Jordon Viney Langdon HF: ANB Daw/Weid Spargo FF: Kossie BB Fritta Mid: Jackson Oliver Petracca Int: Rivers, Harmes, Sparrow, Turner Out: M. Brown, Hibbard, Gawn, IN: Rivers, Weid, May Weid will come in, and it has to be him or Majak to help Jackson, i dont think the will go with Majak, he hasnt been super durable this year. Think we need to keep Turner or Tomlinson in against the Lions, they have a very tall fwd line
  20. I also think this is a factor. Also 2 games with second half fade outs, got a feeling maybe this flu or bug or whatever is floating around coukd have something to do with it too.
  21. FB - Rivers May Salem HB - Brayshaw Petty Lever C - Jordon Viney Langdon HF - Harmes Jackson ANB FF - Fritsch Brown Pickett Ruc - Gawn Oliver Petracca Int - Bowie, Sparrow, Spargo, Bedford Sub - Chandler Out: In: A. Tomlinson S. May J. Hunt T. Rivers M. Brown T. Bedford Ben Browns last chance, think the 3 talls without TMac doesn't work. so let's use Jackson as a centre half fwd, and go small in the fwd line when he or Gawn are off the ground. Just my thought, I doubt they will want to change the structure but something in the fwd line needs to change
  22. Off the back of Goodie's interview on SEN ( said Salem, Harmes, TMac and Langdon are all available for selection) IN OUT Harmes Melksham TMac Weid Langdon Dunstan(Was Sub) Salem Bedford (Becoms Sub)
  23. Hi Guys just thought i start a thread with Podcast interviews of past players/current players and Melbourne people that are around the place. More so interviews around people and not so much the generic player in season interviews. i have listened to a few and really have enjoyed them. Obviously the Demondland guys have some absolutely amazing ones of their own which are all on this website and i strongly advise you all listen to them when you get a chance. I didn't add any from other Demon podcasts as i don't want to step on any toes here., i also didn't bother with any Fantasy based podcast or club released stuff either. here is a few i have listened to and rather enjoyed: Nathan Jones - Dyl & Friends podcast Andrew Brashaw - Dyl and Friends podcast Max Gawn - Dyl and Friends podcast Clayton Oliver - Dyl and Friends podcast James Harmes - Dyl and Friends podcast Christian Petracca - Dyl and Friends podcast David Schwarz - Dyl and Friends Podcast Majak Daw - The Howie Games Majak Daw - Ordineroli Speaking Michael Hibbard - Ordineroli Speaking Max Gawn - The Imperfects Nathan Jones - Train Smarter Race Faster Choco Williams - Brukie and Burgo Darren Burgess - Brukie and Burgo (series 2 Ep1 - It's a grand old flag) STRONGLY RECOMMEND Enjoy, these are just ones that i have listened to, and i am sure there are plenty more, which hopefully people will post. Go Dees
  24. Out: Melksham, Dunstan, Wied, May(inj) IN: Salem(if ready), Langdon, TMac, Tomlinson Sub - Bedford I can't see Harmes being ready yet but if he is Rivers hasn't been outstanding this yr, with Salem coming back his spot in a fully fit side could be under scrutiny. At the end of the day it wasn't a good loss, but when you lose your Full Back, Centre Half Fwd and AA Wingman from your side it's not ideal.
