And respond to critiquing because they, are not so thin skinned to be banged up personally. You wanna meet before or after a game, I'm in. A quiet beer, or a pie in the face who cares. Yes. At first they roped off the centre wicket area, for some months at least, 'AIR'. Than they shipped us off the 'G', and we were sent to Coventry, down by the lake and St-kilda locals. And the native fauna.

I don't know what your talking of, but i read, and saw an unhappy player pre-midseason. Of course the club would have had discussions around end of season, if not end of season player reviews. Early season Tracca was poor, improving near-on midseason, and improved further, in an out of form team. I'd suggest to you they would have had a couple of conversations, thru the season. Influencing his form.

I believe there is a plateau in the top 8, that clubs get to, after being down for a while. A launching pad to fly to the Moon from, or to blow up on the pad. We've blown up, a few times before. Because we didn't sit there and practice our drills and strategies. In short, we were there too short a time, fleeting visits, rather than getting used to the rarified atmosphere. We are building a side/list to see us in finals for the next 10 years. There's your basis for success. The launching pad, Top 5. Building the right Vessel, with the right skill sets.

2 years is very good. If he continues to improve his attitude and fitness, showing this year, then try to extend/improve the contract, before the end of this season. That was early to middle of last year, IIrC.? Maybe before a change of heart, and then mind. = improved form 2nd half of season. Maybe he and the club had a chat mid year, after all the talk of his 'Hit and Miss' form. And lacking fitness base.

I reckon Jackson to play 3 or so games, in packets. They will try to fast track him, but gently gently. You could see his body isn't ready yet. His head is more advanced than body, imo.

No, not yet. We have a team that'll launch us into more regular finals. And we have the youngsters to form a nucleus to take the next step up from finals as they mature. Of these I'm expecting the Petty, Salem, Lockhart, Lever, Omc, Harmes (defenders), Pickett, Langdon, Viney, Tracca, Baker, Fritta, Oliver, Weideman, Spargo, Bedford, Sparrow, Rivers, Jackson.

Lever/Smith. Lever I think will play the Frost mobile role. Omc/Petty/ will take some of the bigger talls, imo. Petty I think, will end up a swinging gorilla. ?

Two years is fine. Well done Tracca & club. I expected a longer term in the offing. This gives us all flexibility for the longer term.

agree TPF39. Its more than about winning games , its about growth, and developing the Identity, the public face, the home away from the 'G'_ Where every one is an 'equal', as a Mfc supporter. So that we can grow the club. Grass roots and upward.

Steady builder in the tuck shop, since his first days. This past Pre season is the very first he has done real extra fitness work, and it is now showing. Its about time, he got real about his career and the effort he puts in to get his body right. Still could lose some more Kgs, but at least he has put way more into his cardio vascular work. The next couple of Pre-season efforts will dictate just how high he reaches, in AFL terms.

I wonder If Brown is insurance to cover Jackson and Weide's roles. For when they are off their games. Jackson, I don't think he'll play every game, so Brown would be a good foil, especially if Tracca is going well in the Mids. Same again for Weide, if he has a low streak. I see the 3 of them as optional rotations for one another. He looks a good high forward option. As is Tomlinson, for the midfield marking.

I like the negative chit chat around the league, against us. Its all fuel for the Demon's pyre. We'll make collections whilst doing our rounds. especially with AVB & vINEY freed up.
