Whilst the loss disappointed me it’s round 5, we’ve been on the road a lot and we looked flat. On the bright side Essendon flogged us but still only won by 4.5 goals. To play so poorly and lose by 27 shows me how good we actually are. Add Gawn, Lever, Salem and Hibberd over the next 4-6 and barring more injuries it’s look out, here cone the Demons.

This next month is the perfect opportunity to give Schache a string of games to see if he can replace TMac or Brown in the team. I hope he can but it's a long shot. I'd use JVR as the lead up crash and bash and keep Schache near the goals. Gawn needs another 2 at least on the sidelines and Grundy could do with Schache in support. Oh and there's a chance Laurie has earned a game and we've got to bring Harmes back in. Good week for a change up after that performance. I so wish we still had Darren Burgess at our club. I think he might be the gold dust. Oh and if anyone needs some reclaimed timber furniture made I'm offering a 20% discount till the end of April!

Goodwin massively outcoached, he had an absolute shocker. If you could drop him you would. We bombed it forward like school boys Forwards, Fritsch, ANB, Melksham and Petracca all burned team mates in better positions. I thought May was our most important player but maybe it's Lever, either that or they're some kind of couple. Grundy wasn't the problem it's just that without Gawn, Scott exposed his weaknesses, he was actually good around the ball. Bombers really wanted it, should have won by 12 goals. We need our best 12 fit for Grand Final day.

I’ve got 2 mates who barrack for Essendon, love them both but they really do live in another world. A world where Essendon is still the best and Sheedy and Hird are legends. As opposed to the reality…their team is ordinary and has been for a long time now, Sheedy is a dribbling fool and Hird lost the collective respect of the football world by refusing to admit fault. However I think this is a massive danger game for us. Lever’s a big loss and Brown and rain, well you do the math! On top of that they’ll be throwing everything at us and there’s a sprinkling of talent on their list. Whilst I can guarantee we’ll win the Premiership I can’t guarantee a win tomorrow, although it is extremely likely.
