  1. It was reported today there is plenty of Astrazeneca in NSW
  2. Its extremely unlikely the Suns will play finals..ever. Disband them now I reckon
  3. He has a very important role. No question But he is still young. He is not fully mature yet physically (will be a beast in a few years). Are we expecting too much of the young man to play a demanding role like this for a full season? Would a rest now allow him to recharge and be ready for the rigors of a finals campaign? I’m sure Burgess is very well aware of this of course and is managing him accordingly but I wonder if the VFL wasn’t suspended would we have seen Dogga have one or two games with Casey. I think the Weid could deputise in the role while Dogga recharges
  4. The Weid is an option. He's been playing the role in the limited VFL matches since being dropped and has made a decent go of it. I wouldn't be against him getting a run if Dogga continues to underperfrom
  5. Harmes has done the job before so I'd give it to him again I don't recall whether we hard tagged the Bont last time. Iirc Hibbo went to him when he went forward
  6. We've turned up for all our big games this year. No reason to expect we won't turn up for this one. Dees by 5 goals
  7. Harmes back in to do a repeat number on Libba. Right call. Schache and Hannan in for the Doggies doesn't worry me at all My confidence just went up a notch
  8. I'm quite confident about this game despite our recent average form. We beat the doggies comprehensively last time out. Yes they'll have plans to deal with our tactics this time but as Mike Tyson used to say about his opponents "They all have a plan for me until i punch them in the face". They won't be able to handle our pressure ans we have a far superior defensive structure. Only thing that will thwart our chances is poor goal kicking. Not an outside possibility based on recent form.
  9. Once you have your second jab why isolate yourself. Life is for living OD. Get out into the world.
  10. We have a mental block against the weaker teams. Nothing to do with their intensity or game plan or our "red mist" System and intensity. we play our roles and bring the heat no one can live with us. I reckon we'll see it again on Saturday night. And kicking straight helps a lot as well.
  11. Cunningham has been a warrior for us but i think her time is up. She found a role as second ruck towards the end of the season but i would rather the list spot goes to a younger player who can be developed for the future
  12. This week is dragging. Can't wait for this game to roll around
  13. As far as Carlton being an up and coming team, I'll believe it when i see it
  14. Get friendly with H McKay's agent, lay the groundwork, make sure we have cap space and have a red hot go at bringing him across when he hits free agency in 2 years time Other than bringing Maynard in I can't see any high profile acquisitions this trade period
  15. The MRP adjudicated the North incident as no case to answer (looked accidental to me). I don’t recall the incident with Grainger-Barass he refers to. Nobody seriously questioned the Hind incident either Just more standard Dermie guff
  16. Decent looking prospect (based on the limited highlights). A potential replacement for Lauren Pearce down the track.
  17. The Doggies are not a stand out team. The Suns brought the heat on the weekend and with a bit more class would have beaten them. As long as we bring our pressure and intensity we'll win. We're not in great form at the moment but we've brought the heat for all our big games this year so no reason to believe we won't this weekend.
  18. Take a look at the ladder CYB. We're top. Far out it doesn't take long for the defeatism to settle in around here. We've beaten all our Top 8 rivals this year remember including the Dogs. They were befuddled the last time we played them. Saturday night was a shocker but we can bounce back. The coaching team will get a hold of the players this week and remind them how we got to the top in the first place. Roles and system. We'll roll the dogs I reckon.
  19. We need a head scratcher emoji
  20. All fair points There’s no denying our history. We’ve been pathetic for a long time But we’ve made great strides this year. Coaching has improved out of sight, defensively we’re first rate and we have some genuine game changers in our team. Apart from our excellent record against the top teams what has really given me belief is our ability to wrest momentum most notably against the tiges and lions. I don’t remember us ever doing that before. We’re always in the game We’ve work to do maturity wise. It was very slack to allow the Hawks back into it after we dominated the first quarter. We still need to learn how to put the lesser lights away and manage that expectation. It’ll come. I'm very hopeful for the future
  21. The 2004 team has zero relevance for this group We have a mental block when it comes to the lesser teams. It's strange how these things develop but i reckon we'll continue struggle as the pattern has been set. The Suns and Adelaide games will be grinds On the flip side our record v Top 8 is exemplary. The coaching staff will be re-enforcing the importance of roles and system this week and i fully expect an improved performance against the Doggies. I reckon we'll beat them and all will be rosy in the garden again. Finals will bring a different pressure. I've no idea how we'll hold up
  22. I think the AFL's intent was made pretty clear yesterday when the Swans and Giants game went ahead. Come hell or high water this season will be completed
  23. Absolutely but it would feel hollow
