  1. If the proprietors name is Norman I'd be getting out of there
  2. This day is dragging and still 4 hours to go before ball up. The Bombers saga has been providing some light relief though
  3. He plays game 100 as well this weekend I believe. Great effort given his injury problems Came back to haunt us when the Saints beat us at the G in 2019. that was probably his best game of AFL! Best of luck with your post footy career. We appreciate your efforts with us
  4. This is in effect a final with top 4 up for grabs for both teams Lions record in finals not so flash at the Gabba Our away record including the Adelaide and Perth finals last year is very good We're going to win this game
  5. BDA replied to Sydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
First task for clarko is to get JHF back on board. North have treated the kid shabbily. He's a gun Then get a proper recruitment team together
  6. Maxy gets belted from pillar to post every game. I don't how he doesn't lose his temper. Serious self control
  7. Feels like we've been playing finals since the Dogs game at Marvel
  8. BDA replied to Sydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essendon. Lol They've totally undermined their current coach. Is it possibly a case of constructive dismissal if Rutten wants to leave given his treatment without him taking a financial hit? 6,557 days and counting
  9. BDA replied to Sydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Right choice for him. He'll have full control at North
  10. Feeling very confident about this game Our away record is exemplary, the manner of the Carlton win will give the boys real belief and we have champions players who will rise to the occasion Snuff out the threat from Neale and Cameron and we're half way there I reckon Kossie will light up the Gabba tonight Dees by 25 points
  11. Tough on JJ but has been obviously hampered by his knee recently. Hopefully can recover full fitness for finals. Sparrow's spot is vulnerable so every chance he can get back into the side
  12. would be nice to hit some leading targets every now and then
  13. Oldest football club in the world. The original and best
  14. Eddie is a relic. In the same category as Sammy Newman. Time to retire to the golf course
  15. Swans have been beaten twice this year at Marvel against the Dogs and bombers (both poor performances). Weren't very convincing in their one win which was against North. Not a happy hunting ground for them. If Max King can find his shooting boots the Saints are a good chance
  16. It's been big games one after the other and more to come I'm very bullish about this one The manner of the Carlton win will energise us and the Lions just can't get it done when the chips are done. We'll finish 3rd and head to Sydney for the QF. And I'll be confident about that game as well These are great times to be a Dees supporter

6,555 The number of days since Essendon last won a final
  18. People have strong views on this topic which I understand. Fair enough. But I don’t believe players should be suspended for not completing a test in time or sending in yesterdays rats in error. We’ve all had to endure restrictions of different kinds. I think we’ve had our fill of covid so lets not continue hammering people, suspending and inflicting more sanctions just because we were inconvenienced in the past. When does this end?
  19. So it was meant to be a wobbly kick that got a lucky bounce? And even if it is a set play. so what Great player Rick. I'm delighted he plays with us but come on. He pointed in one direction and kicked it in a different direction. I'm all for doling out the praise when warranted but I think we've gone over the top here And anyways, the reason we won that game is Jake Melksham. If anyone deserves his own thread its him.
  20. Do you want players suspended for not doing the test in time or sending in yesterday's rat test?
  21. The club didn't show too much appreciation when they bundled him out the door. Loyalty cuts both ways
  22. No where near! staying in doors for a week if you test positive is hardly nowhere near. If you've covid you're probably sick and most likely not heading out anyways We have vaccines, no more lock downs, we're free to move around, go to games, travel internationally etc. etc. We've come along way from where we were
  23. can't be sure of anything. If a club decides to cover something up then requires a lot of digging to uncover - see Essendon drugs scandal however they take the covid tests every day. not difficult to send in the previous days in error. Plus covid shows up on rats tests for a number of days so would require a major cover-up as i've said. And needlessly exposes the rest of the list to covid. btw the accuracy of rats tests is pretty sketchy. I've heard of plenty of people you passed the rats but failed the PCR. but thats another story
  24. "The AFL says penalties were given for breaches including not undertaking a rapid antigen test (RAT) within specified time periods, and uploading an image taken of a previous RAT undertaken by that person or someone else" no suggestion that failed tests were covered up, quarantine rules breaches or anything that results in players playing that should not have played. Why would anyone be suggesting suspensions in these circumstances? The world is now living with Covid. Let's just move on shall we.
