  1. Shank of the year right there
  2. Looked ominous early for Essendon. I thought they would cave but they've rallied. Unfortunately
  3. It would be very funny to see Essendon belted on their 150th
  4. One other important point which I’m not sure has been mentioned previously We live in the social media age. The kids live online. And consume sports online. The variety and options are unlimited. NBA, EPL, Indian PL cricket. You name it. It’s all there at the touch of a button. The brightest minds in Silicon Valley are focused on drawing our attention to this online world and keeping us there. It’s where the dollars are for advertisers. Sports are just a commodity to be monetised and marketed. That’s the world the AFL operates in and is competing in.
  5. Very well played Goody. Very measured, on point and didn't get sucked in. Kept it on our terms I sense the journos are starting to tire of this. There was no real bite in their questioning. I reckon thats the end of this episode now. Time to focus on the footy
  6. Love your sentiment @AC/DeeC We'll put in a big performance for sure. I don;t think we'll belt them but i reckon we'll win by 30 points or so Go Dees
  7. Just tuned in to watch the game now Looking forward to hearing Caro's take on the crowd size
  8. You're going to give away an AA defender to one of our rivals for nothing? Some of the takes in this thread are beyond ridiculous
  9. It’s a replacement game
  10. The club’s response was fine. Let’s not start self flagellating. Max spoke candidly yesterday and addressed the issue adequately. Talk of afl investigations is fugazi. Just optics and [censored] covering from HQ time to move on and turn our attention to the game on Monday
  11. Hope Petty is right to go. Even without May and Tmac that team is still good enough to win.
  12. every cloud has a silver lining
  13. We're not that club anymore. We proved it beyond any doubt last September I agree this could be the spark that ignites our season We’ve been off and apparently Goody has been concerned with complacency sinking in Having the blow torch on us this week will shake us out of our lethargy I expect a big performance against the pies and I expect to win And Steven May, who has behaved like a complete prat, will be one of our best players for the rest of the season
  14. Sounds like May has a sharp tongue when he's drinking We all have a mate who gets mouthy and boorish when drunk. They are not fun to be around. May needs to take a look at himself and how he behaves when he is on the grog. Otherwise he’ll be drinking alone when his career finishes
  15. I agree fisty cuffs in a Prahran restaurant is a bad idea. Optics are terrible but the same principal applies. as long as they have made up, genuinely, there shouldn't be an issue
  16. Team mates have dust ups all the time. As long as they have both cleared the air and there’s no lingering resentment this isn’t an issue. All that matters now is Monday and beating the pies. Do that and this week will be forgotten pretty quickly
  17. I hope the team shows the same fighting spirit against the pies
  18. I don't see Sam Reid's effort being topped this year
  19. The timing is not ideal but he’s got credits in the bank. AA last year and should have been AA the year before. He’s not the first bloke to get on the turps when he shouldn’t, and he won’t be the last. He’s been punished so I expect that to be the end of it I’m backing him in to be one of our best players v the Lions
  20. Oh FFS. What are thinking maysie
  21. Your posts have been very disparaging and mean spirited. I’ve no problems at all with you making suggestions for improvements as long as you do so constructively.
