I didn’t think they were top 4. I was quietly confident they would miss the 8. They were slow and ponderous towards the back end of last season. Teams had moved on and found them out (same way as we had been found out). Their forward line is a mess as well. Big problems for longmuir to sort out.

The siren sounded just after the game clock hit 0.00 and the ball crossed the line. if this happened in a granny it would be a travesty. What is the correct ruling here. I think the AFL have backed the umps in but not sure it’s the correct call.

Tell that to the Freo ferals. I agree regarding his potential, but he's getting paid the big bucks to deliver now, not in a couple of years. He doesn't have time to develop. The Freo crowd will be on his back. It's a tough spot for a young developing ruck to be in. If he stayed with us he could have developed in his own time.

Freo is a graveyard for returning home grown players. I've no idea why but it turns to s**t pretty quickly. Jackson should have stayed with us to develop out of the spotlight. Mature in his own time. He's exposed to the full glare of the feral Freo crowd now who will eat him alive. And Sean Darcy is a much better ruck (needs to lose a few kgs it must be said). He's now having to split ruck time with Jackson. What must he be thinking?

Melks is great to bring on in the second half when he's fresh and the opposition are starting to tire. He doesn't have the legs for a full game anymore as we saw on Friday night. He very classy though. Took his goal against the doggies from outside the 50 brilliantly. I don't think we have anyone else on our list that would have nailed that kick.

Freo's season is turning into a trainwreck. It's a joy to behold.

Good job we traded Jackson. He's been terrible first 2 games for Freo. Grundy a much better option to cover for Max while he's injured.

The free was paid before the siren went. Freo should have had a kicki to win (or draw) Karma I reckon. The umpires were a disgrace and had kept Freo in it all game.

That was intense. If Freo has pulled it out of the fire it could have ignited their season. Instead they're deflated and in big trouble Huge game against West Coast next week. This death riding is great fun i have to say.
