  1. I think we’re not supposed to take possession of the ball anymore
  2. I’m going to boo that [censored] Maynard every time he touches the ball
  3. We’re looking down the barrel here. Need to get a grip quick otherwise we’re looking at a shellacking
  4. Carving us up through the corridor. Could be a long night
  5. MMGA Make Melbourne Great Again!
  6. i want Carlton to miss out
  7. These judgements really should include an executive summary. I'll have to set aside an afternoon to get through all that.
  8. Included in my definitions of nuffies are self-aggrandising types. Make promises they can't keep. Populist politicians. There's plenty of them about and they do get elected. also, do you mind posting a link to the judgment Farmer? I'd like to have a read
  9. it's very difficult to get the balance right between fair and open processes and avoiding having nuffies trying to get on the board.
  10. To those who prefer to lose for better draft position I say, take a look at our history. It's never been a successful strategy for us. whether its pick 6 or pick 10 JT will find a good player. I want to win to finish the season on a high. and i want to win because I hate the pies. I don't understand the mindset of a supporter that isn't fussed if we win or not. Trying to win is not optional. every time we play these bastards we play to win, dead rubber or not. I reckon we'll put in a performance for ANB. Been a great servant. We will have a proper dip in his farewell game. Feeling confident. Dees by 20 points.
  11. Last chance to see the boys run around for the year so i'll be there.
  12. Weak. A real supporter would fly back.
  13. becuase they haven't been blabbing to the media about being unhappy at their club.
  14. i think there are a few chips on shoulders in this thread. the media are no more harsh on us than any other club.
  15. I like Gary. He shouldn't commentate on dees games though. he overcompensates way too much
  16. Trade period on the way. just more grist for the mill for the AFL media so best ignored
  17. There's a been a failure of communication on both sides. Happens all the time in life. I don't think that's the root cause of this problem though. He's a senior player with a lot of influence. He may be very professional in his training standards and no doubt gives 100% on the field, but it doesn't look like he's invested in the club as much as we'd like him to be. Easiest thing in the world to do is spit the dummy when things get rough. Start complaining about others. start complaining about the organisation. That's not leadership. That's just blaming. There are high performing high maintenance people in every organisation. They can be exhausting to deal with. A classic tactic they use is do this or I'm out. Gun to the head approach. It's not a strategy for long term success. Not sure if Trac fits this profile but it sounds like he could. I think Trac needs to decide whether he's part of the problem or part of the solution. Is he onboard or not. He needs to decide. And quick. As it is, he's burning through his goodwill with us fans and with the playing group and his continued silence just alienates him more. He's no future captain that's for sure. If he doesn't want to be part of the solution, then best he moves on. The club will survive. Very difficult to get a trade done that we think is fair compensation but sometimes you have to cut your losses. No player is bigger than our club.
  18. fantastic news been a real roller coaster ride this week
