  1. Correct. If he makes it through the National draft unpicked, he can go straight onto the rookie list as a category A player. Or Melbourne could upgrade Moniz-Wakefield and then FEB could fill his cat B position.
  2. Finn could go straight onto the rookie list (category A) if he made it through the National draft. Or Melbourne may choose to upgrade Moniz-Wakefield to the primary list so Finn can take that spot. Think he’ll be at the Dees regardless as long as he makes it past the first 40 picks.
  3. Reality is he kicked 48 goals last season before he did his knee and that gets no where close to our ‘big’ forwards bar Fritta. Yes he’s 30 and coming off that injury but a good preseason he’s a low risk option. Lever/Gawn/Trac have all come back from knees. With Browns degenerative knee and Tmacs question marked foot, and JVR only being 19, I don’t see the issue in it, even if all Bruce does is replace the Mitch Brown role of an emergency option. If he’s owed 500k next year, extend the contract by a year, chuck another 100k from us on top of it, and pay him 300 a season for 2 years. I see sense in it and for what it’s worth, I trust the club with our list build.
  4. Almost totally rules us out of getting the top 8 pick we were looking for. Hope the club are steadfast on the two first rounders + 1 second rounder. Give them Jackson and a third back. Hopefully their initial demands stay true.
  5. Alan Richardson literally said verbatim that we’ve given him until the end of the season
  6. Both can stay. It’s not a case of if one leaves the other stays. It’s just individual choices for both of them, but it’s not because the club can’t keep them.
  7. Serong would be the one. Hayden Young is signed up until 2027
  8. It’s a big decision for a 21 year old with the world at his feet. His decision has nothing to do with money. It’s going back to his family or staying at the Dees. It’s as simple as that. He’s torn, but loves the club, loves the boys and the club feel the same way about him. I THINK he will eventually sign, but a young guy offered a stupid amount of money to go back to his home state will obviously take time to make the best call for him and that’s his management and Melbourne are encouraging. There’s no pressure, yet.
  9. Nothing to be ahead of. There’s been talks since the GF about it. Much like Petraccas extension last year. Almost exactly the same. Gus will stay, Jackson is still making up his mind but his manager will be in Melbourne next week.
  10. Told you :)
  11. He said that about West Coast, as his WA family support Fremantle.
  12. Hunt ‘butchering’ the ball is such an overrated thing to speak of as more often than not his ball use is so much better than it used to be. There is the odd error but he plays the role Hibberd did does which is vital to us going forward because the best small forward doesn’t have a say each week. None of our other defenders do if bar Hibbo (who Hunt was ahead of before injury last year). JJ will be the unlucky one.
  13. Hunt won’t go anywhere. Has locked down the oppositions best small forward all last season and without injury would’ve had a Premiership media to show for it. Has done the same this season to an even higher level. JJ has been good but think he drops out Salem. One of Bowey/Salem could go to a wing.
  14. Yze said today he would coach from the box. Choco may be the man in the boundary role this week rather up the front than back
  15. Clarry and Bedford trained today. Jackson and Pickett did not.
  16. Neither is Dogga, JJ, Gus, Kozzy or Sparrow. So pretty unsure how we figure it out 😂
  17. There was a gallery released yesterday which Dogga was involved, however in todays LJ was not seen. Nor Trac, or Kozzy
  18. Bedford trained today. Kozzy and Dogga did not. Trac wasn’t spotted.
  19. 100%. Just like Petracca.
  20. Why would Brown be in the VFL? He’s our best forward by a long bloody way. He was one of the main reasons we broke our drought last year. Tmac and Weid can fight it out for the second spot in the forward line as they’ve both been underwhelming.
  21. Oliver will sign a 7 year extension 🔒
  22. Bailey Laurie is the one out of the three mentioned. Chandler and Bedford may make it at AFL level, but more likely at another club, which is still great. Laurie was rated higher in the draft than Bowey and possesses the same skill with ball in hand and ‘footy IQ’. The club don’t waste top picks anymore. After an interrupted season last year, Laurie is only going to get better and his class has been on show in his 3 VFL games so far.
  23. What about Rivers, Jackson and Pickett? What about Sparrow and Jordon? What a silly statement.
  24. The doco involves Dunstan because of his manager, and some of our presentation to Luke will be in this doco. D’Orazio actually explained our presentation to get Dunstan over the line as one of the best he’s ever seen.
