Jumper numbers for season 2023?
😉

TRAINING: Monday 28th November 2022

TRAINING: Monday 5th December 2022
No numbers are finalised. As per usual our new apparel hasn’t arrived yet so the numbers are size fits. Hence Grundy being in Jackson’s old jumper and Hunter being in Bedfords😂

TRAINING: Friday 2nd December 2022
Hunter will be in the team. Will be a great get for us. We wouldn’t have got him without having that specific role which will be opposite to Langdon. Will be an extremely shrewd pick up that cost very little pick and salary cap wise. As for people wondering where certain players are, all players will be there on Monday. This first week was mandatory for 1-4 year Dees and optional for the rest of the group.

And before people mention JVR being in #21 in the training video that’s just been released, they’re the old training kits and the new ones haven’t arrived yet😂

TRAINING: Monday 28th November 2022
All the senior boys don’t have to be back until next Monday. 1-4 years the only lads required to train today but others can join in if they want to. Gawn and Lever are in Canada right now! Sneaky word is JVR will be in the number 2 next season.

Dees considering big trade plays
The extra pick he speaks of is 37. We’ll take 13.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
West Coast will take Allen with their first pick (8) or second which is the pick before ours after selecting Busslinger with one of them.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Brayden George won’t get past the 20’s let alone the rookie draft. Phillipou will barely get past Essendons first pick let alone our first pick. Keeler is a chance. Jefferson will be the likely for our pick 13. Emile-Brennan will be on the list as a rookie if available.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
That man is van Rooyen. He’s the physical one. The type of forward Jefferson is, very much compliments JVR.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
‘Many’ is an overstretch. Maybe you’re a Nostradamus Picket, but I remember vividly the calls by numerous supporters of “why would we pick the fat kid from the country who has only come on extremely late and labeled the ‘bolter’ when Parish is right there”.
-
Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Opinion is fine, but ridicule and judgment on an 18 year old based on a 2 minute highlight package is a bit rich. Remember when people had a meltdown over Oliver being picked over Parish? With the state of our list, and the amount of hits compared to misses we’ve had in the last 10 years, I think everyone should be backing whoever the club pick rather than making a judgement over the blokes who are paid to and who ultimately delivered us a Premiership list 😂😂

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Didn’t know Melbourne had so many recruiters that weren’t actually employed by the club going off this thread 😂😂

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
Both will be at Melbourne next year, it’s just a question of whether they’re on the main list or rookie list. It could even be, one gets a spot on the main list and the other gets delisted with promise of being selected again in the rookie draft, which in effect, opens up an extra list spot to pick our NGA player up without missing out on him.

2022 List and Contract Details
Correct. If he makes it through the National draft unpicked, he can go straight onto the rookie list as a category A player. Or Melbourne could upgrade Moniz-Wakefield and then FEB could fill his cat B position.

Welcome to Demonland Kyah Farris-White
Finn could go straight onto the rookie list (category A) if he made it through the National draft. Or Melbourne may choose to upgrade Moniz-Wakefield to the primary list so Finn can take that spot. Think he’ll be at the Dees regardless as long as he makes it past the first 40 picks.

Josh Bruce
Reality is he kicked 48 goals last season before he did his knee and that gets no where close to our ‘big’ forwards bar Fritta. Yes he’s 30 and coming off that injury but a good preseason he’s a low risk option. Lever/Gawn/Trac have all come back from knees. With Browns degenerative knee and Tmacs question marked foot, and JVR only being 19, I don’t see the issue in it, even if all Bruce does is replace the Mitch Brown role of an emergency option. If he’s owed 500k next year, extend the contract by a year, chuck another 100k from us on top of it, and pay him 300 a season for 2 years. I see sense in it and for what it’s worth, I trust the club with our list build.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Alan Richardson literally said verbatim that we’ve given him until the end of the season

Farewell Luke Jackson
Both can stay. It’s not a case of if one leaves the other stays. It’s just individual choices for both of them, but it’s not because the club can’t keep them.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Serong would be the one. Hayden Young is signed up until 2027

Farewell Luke Jackson
It’s a big decision for a 21 year old with the world at his feet. His decision has nothing to do with money. It’s going back to his family or staying at the Dees. It’s as simple as that. He’s torn, but loves the club, loves the boys and the club feel the same way about him. I THINK he will eventually sign, but a young guy offered a stupid amount of money to go back to his home state will obviously take time to make the best call for him and that’s his management and Melbourne are encouraging. There’s no pressure, yet.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Nothing to be ahead of. There’s been talks since the GF about it. Much like Petraccas extension last year. Almost exactly the same. Gus will stay, Jackson is still making up his mind but his manager will be in Melbourne next week.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Told you :)

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
He said that about West Coast, as his WA family support Fremantle.
