Our next defender
Given that Charlie Cameron caused us more problems than any other forward in last years finals series when we had almost all of our defenders available I think we still need to replace Nev.

Our next defender
The talk around draft time was that we were trying to move up the draft order to pick Darcy Wilmot( Brisbane picked him at pick 16). He is touted as the best small lockdown defender in last years draft with very good skills coming out of defence. Due to the fact that we would probably haven to give up our first 2 picks to get him I wonder if we might target another small lockdown type ? Or perhaps we just really rated his talent.

Bevo unleashes on Tom Morris
Watched it live and couldnāt believe it at the time. He lost the plot and didnāt seem right before he had a go a Morris. My biggest take from it was how [censored] weak it was to bring mental health into it for a jurno just reporting team news. The only other interview I have seen live that I can compare it to was Rafa Benitez āfactsā rant in 2009. I can also remember their skipper Steve Gerard commenting on his managers rant years later- how cringed watching it and was embarrassed for him and the club at the time. I wonder how the Bont and rest of the players will feel about how their coach when they watch it today?! One thing for sure Iāll be extra confident the next time we play them donāt think heās rant will help them at all.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Thought Tom Morris handled it well. Didnāt take a backwards step and wasnāt standing for Bevo asking him to leaving the press conference.

Absolutley loved that. Probably as much as last nights show and hope it fills in the gaps that others thought last nights show had. Awesome

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
6/7 talls in the first 22. Lots more than this year but considering itās being called the draft of giants I was thinking there would be more. Does anybody know if thereās is thought to be much depth in this draft or if thereās more talls going to be available in the second round?

Tonightās Draft - The First Crack
I predict we get Wilmot. We move up the order and take GWS pick 13 in a deal that will also involve some of Collingwoods future picks. But whatever JT does Iāll be happy with. Itās going to be a boring to watch but Iām still looking forward to it. Excited to see whoās the lucky draftee is that gets to join our young and talented list.

2021 Phantom Draft
Interesting I wonder which player we are after. Maybe Sinn or Goater?! I hope Brisbane donāt get it as they have been linked with lots of player that we have. The flip side is our pick is before there lions pick and we have been linked with Howes. Richmond are probably in the driving seat to get pick 13.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
According to Cal Twomey Cats are favourites to get pick 23 of the dogs. I wonder will we get involved in that deal or try to trade with bulldogs for ones of the picks they get off the Cats. The Cats have 3 picks in the 30,s. Picks 30,32 and 34.

Mac Andrew
I hope he does go top 5. Preferably to the Suns with GWS a close second. Think we are a massive chance to get him back to Melbourne in 2 years if that happens. If he goes to Saints or Richmond then heās gone forever I think.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Yes perhaps. Apparently they were in the market for a small forward before Jones left. They might now just use 25 on a defender. Or they might still try to split it and pick up a small forward and defender. Going by what Richmond paid the pies for pick 27 we donāt have the currency to obtain it anyways. At best I think if we want to trade up it would be with another club in a better position than us to obtain pick 23 or 25 which would probably mean us paying overs for not a lot. We might be as well to try and trade for a later pick in next years draft.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Yeah I heard that. He also said Carlton are listening to offers for pick 25.

Mac Andrew
Thanks for sharing clip. I wonder how much contact(relationship building) we have been having with Mac over the past few months. Apart from Richmond who other posters have pointed out already have lots of project rucks itās mainly interstate clubs who are being linked with him. If we already have a strong connection with him there has to be a fear from interstate clubs about the go hone factor. In two years time he could be out of contract and yet to play much AFL footy which would surely put us in a strong position. Having Maxxy and Jackson to learn off should also be a big draw card.

AFL Trade Period
Yeah I agree 23 Iād def out of our reach as thereās no doubt Richmond would have offered the same deal they offered to Pies if not better. Our only move now would be to try and improve 37 to a pick in the lower 30s. Perhaps our old pick back off Adelaide.
