See the side/fromt angle footage, Kozzy actually is trying to push him away after the smother with his hand. He just makes the contact in the early stages of that motion with his upper arm. I think it shows enough intent to execute the smother as best as he could. There should be enough here to consider an alternative argument that this is genuinely a football act.

Apparently a benefit of playing one of the Adelaide sides in Gather round is one less away game in the fixture. I thought we had just as many away games as any other team (excluding the Alice game)?

Funny thing is we play them at the worst possible time. It’s literally season on the line type stuff. The players and coaches know it. Two weeks from now irrespective of their form line would have been much better. I’d expect nothing but a super intense crows team.

I reckon Walker is less likely to play them May. If he does, I think they’ll put May on Fogarty and TMac or Lever On Walker to exploit his lack of fitness.

We win the Port game very similar to how the Pies win their games last year. The media is so disrespectful to us by raising on several occasions that Port should have won based on stats. But the Pies were ‘special’ as they continued to snatch their wins from the jaws of defeat. Just look at their QF win over us - we smashed them that game in everything but the scoreboard… I don’t recall anyone in the media saying we should have won that game… Pies were lucky etc etc. Just does my head in. Need to be very weary of the crows. They will come out firing with extreme pressure around the contest. We need to match if not exceed it. Sustain that for 1-2 quarters and we will take the sting out of the game and win. If. We don’t well it’s anybody’s guess how it plays out.
