Greene has to be gone for minimum 4 weeks. Exactly same as Wright. I personally think it’s the one action which is BS. Tough for Greene, it was rightfully his ball and Duedin put himself in a dangerous position. Should be an interesting case as I’m sure GWS will appeal.

If the Blues cannot win a premiership with this side then it’ll be the biggest waste of Curnow/McKay. The Blues look really impressive.
-
I don’t know this. I think it though.
-
Draper unequivocally dived on the ball. That is the most blatant free possible. All the better - need Crows to finish bottom 4 in case they come for Petty.
-
He is so overrated. Didn’t he kick 5 goals on debut?
-
Geez Rachelle had a free player in the goal square and decides to kick on angle 30m out.

If Bumbers win they are on same win loss as us.

He may well have. These guys don’t let much out and if it’s in DL then everyone knows. So I. Hand he does play and in the other he doesn’t… Perfect headache for Yze and the Tigers

Cant figure out if you are taking the [censored]. But to simplify this for all those concerned, if a team was to play every Sunday, at the conclusion of their third game they would have played 3 games in 14 days. Our first 6 games were: 1: Thursday 2: Sunday 3: Saturday 4: Saturday 5: Thursday 6: Thursday So our breaks between games were 10 days; 6 days; 7 days; 5 days; 7 days. This is an average of 7 days breaks in the first 6 rounds. What i will correct is that we have played 3 games in 12 days (not 13, which is what i and others have quoted). Making fatigue a more relevant factor but again, ill maintain that we have had sufficient recovery across the first 6 rounds. The 5 day break would have been a more relevant factor coming into the Adelaide game.

Bont will never leave, doing so would throw that club into utter turmoil and irrelevance. I also think it would be a burden/luggage for Bont to the extent it will affect his footy. As much as every other club would want him, i hope he sorts out whatever riff raff he has going on and stays to be a 1 club player. He is one of the greats of the modern era. I think the forwardline configuration last night might have raised a few eyebrows at the kennell. Naughton looked so much better without the congestion. Lobb played his role much more effectively too. Either JUH has to come up much more forward and give Naughton space or they move Naughton into the back line. Playing them like they do is not working. Realistically, its hard to see a situation where they trade him...

But 3 in 13 is one game almost every 7 days, which is the norm. I just don't see how one less day over two weeks results in what we saw on the park that night. 3 games in 11 is entirely another matter though. I know people want to find an excuse for our capitulation against the Lions that gives them some hope that the performance is outlier, but fatigue wasn't the sole and overriding factor IMO.

Who is the new commentator? Sounds like Steve Quartermaine.
-
Doggies forward line looks more functional without JUH. Just sayin…. wouldn’t be in a hurry to resign him just yet.
-
If the situation is that fragile, then frankly he shouldn’t be playing at all and be taking more time away from the game/team.
-
So no Lynch, Balta, Short, Prestia, Taranto and Ross. The are a few other lesser known players on there too. With Baker and Martin also appearing to have one foot out the door , one may think they either put up a great game to dispel any mistruths or peter away confirming suspicions. Yze will also put up a good tactical game, looking to exploit known vulnerabilities. We just need to focus on responding to the Lions games.

I’m with you to an extent. Makes for a great thread on a ladder of which team you hate most ordered from 1 (most hated) to 17 (least). Doggies are not in my top 8 at all.

I know, time to move on and all. It’s being highlighted now how Fagan used wingers and a double team to effectively negate Trac and effectively shut down our main scoring source. This to me is more explanatory of our performance than simply blame fatigue. Im not great at identifying these things in game but multiple media sources have mentioned so I take it as somewhat reliable intel. it is clear Goody wasn’t expecting it and also doesn’t have the cattle available to counteract it even if he did. Not having a fit and firing Oliver (and Kozzy and even Brayshaw) is probably what allowed Fagan to pull this off as you would otherwise move Trac more forward. I think we can now expect this every week from now on. We have won many games with Trac not at his best, but more now than ever has our game plan (reliance on Trac) and midfield depth been thrown to the forefront. Don’t fool yourself, fatigue was not the issue.

Why? They are an easy kill.

It’s the spot used on First Crack. Addicted to structure much? 😀

Where was Adrian in finding these loop holes for Kozzy ?? Where were you Adriaaaan

That cannot be. I bought 5 tickets to Q53 last night Row V. The only L4 Bay on the Olympic stand sold out was Q49 and Q50 i think. Everything from Q53 - Q57 still had at least 60-70% availability as far as i could see. $45 GA is bordering on ridiculous i have to say. i remember the old days where a GA ticket was $20.

Probably aspiring to BT standards. He has always been a little harder on the Dees.
-
It was also said on the Mid-week tackle last night in passing (Jon Ralph, Jay Clarke and some other Carlton [censored]). I couldn't believe it. We are constantly vilified by the AFL and by the media. I tell you its no longer a coincidence, i am convinced there is something happening behind the scenes. The head is sacrosanct until you play Melbourne. (Brayshaw and Lever in the last 10 games are just recent examples).

Change Coming to Father-Son & Academy Rules
Gawndy the Great replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah thats my read too, he'd be battline for #1 ruck position by being only a few years behind the newly recruited Ethan Reid. Much better to come down to Melbourne and take the tutelage of the best ruckman of all time in Maximus Aurelius Gawn The F/S just need to be tightened up not overhauled like the academy system. The F/S just needs an 'anchor' pick from the round they are bidded on. Bundled with other picks to meet the point requirements (if any). It just avoids situations where a club can effectively double dip in the 1st round of a draft without having the round 1 picks. The academy is simple, even up the playing ground and take away any concessions afforded to interstate clubs - they always complain on social media about the Victoria clubs getting better treatment. Time for them to get the Victorian experience in the draft. -
Change Coming to Father-Son & Academy Rules

He’ll come through F/S. I doubt he’d be a first rounder though. If the rumoured changes are true, an interesting scenario that will likely arise is when a club is put in a position where their academy or F/S prospect hasn’t been picked by another club at their pick during the round. They then have to make a choice whether to pick the prospect or take a gamble on another player hoping the prospect gets through to the next round. The end of round picks will become highly sought after as clubs with prospects look to pursue some hedging options in the draft making for some frame before and during draft week.
