Really liked Bolton and the way he is able to get involved in the game from HB into the forward line and damage the scoreboard. I know he took a few seasons to develop but hope one of our small forwards can develop into a similar player.

I just have a hunch this isn’t over. If Tom was truly guilty shouldn’t we have had an apology by now? He has been stood down until it is investigated. There is absolute silence from the Tom camp which suggests he is taking legal and PR advice. I maintain that if he has done what is alleged, then throw the book at him.

Yep it is very much available to anyone with a phone. I have an affinity for funny cat videos which Tik Tok and Instagram supply an abundance of video's to keep me satisfied. Every now and then i would see some rather bizarre (out-of-character) video's of Tom Cruise. It wasn't too long that i found out it was just somebody that had a video and audio 'filter' on their camera which would render (using AI software) whatever they said and recorded and output it as Tom Cruise. This is how i was introduced into the world of 'deep fakes'. I have seen similar vids of Trump, Biden, Putin etc - its is deeply unsettling what is possible these days.

Have you been to the footy? I come across opposition supporters that are so deeply invested in their footy clubs that something like this would not surprise me at all. There are some really bizarre characters in our society and my 10 year old son could probably do a deep fake. If he has genuinely said that, then he deserves what is coming obviously.

Not defending him but the connection to his work colleague is circumstantial isn’t it? Who are we to say that video wasn’t doctored? It’s actually quite easy to do. The audio on the other hand is a bit trickier but with the right software AI it is not impossible.

He has been recorded without his knowledge or permission talking in a very misogynistic way about a female work colleague and this was leaked today. What he said has nothing to do with the Bevo saga and has probably been held onto for a while. Doesn’t excuse what he said and I think it’s the end of his employment with Fox Sports unless there is another twist to the story.

Toms career also on lifeline. Just heard the audio of him talk about one of his colleagues at FOX in a completely inappropriate way. My guess is he will be cancelled.

Was stoked with the win. System held up well considering the missing players and absolutely appauling umpiring decisions that cost us 2-3 direct goals. Perhaps the 8 50s wasn’t enough in the praccy. We did well in the back half but our composure with the ball was a bit scrappy but with a few more games I think our rebound 50s will really torch some of our opponents. Bedford did ok but am still at a loss as to how our smaller forwards are not getting the ball enough and hurting them when it hits the deck. They look like they are trying to play as lead up forwards and not positioning to crumb. I dunno but it just bugs me when I see how balanced the Lions forwards are with this.

Our poor stoppage work was obvious in the Carlton game. They try to gloss over it but I didn’t buy the BS. Doggies are not playing that good. They were bought into the game by the umps and have ridden the momentum. Hopefully our fitness brings us back into the game because we are looking 2nd rate.

That’s a big if. We got absolutely toweled against The blues and they are nowhere near as talented in the middle as the Dogs. It’s too early to make any assessment on trends or read too much into the Carlton game but I’d hate to see the cockiness of 2018 seep back into the side. A little is ok, but expecting anything less than a brutal contest wouldn’t work out too favourable. Hopefully the attitude is where it needs to be.

Was watching the game at TGIs without sound but assume the commentators were saying that the umpiring was well below standard. I get they want to keep the game moving but so many non decisions against us - head high contact, marking interference etc. Putting that aside, Carlton did a great job in nullifying our ball movement. Reminded me of our game vs the Hawks. would have won the game if they weren’t so defensively orientated.

I dont think he is. Everyone has a stellar game here and there and Brayshaw definately had a strong GF and final series, otherwise his 2021 was meeting expectations.
