This is not a criticism, I'm just curious if you still feel the same about the new rule

I have to admit that I thought the new manning the mark rule and reduced rotations would do bugger all to reduce congestion, but watching the game this season reminds me a bit of how the game was played in the nineties. Just hope the coaches don't find a way to ruin the game again.

I meant to write contested, but yes it's also less congested. The reason I mentioned that the game is less contested is that it probably won't suit us given we play a contested brand of football. A less contested game may also reduce Gawn's influence which is our strength.

I very much doubt the coaches will try to turn it into a tactic. Morally it's the wrong thing to do.

I don't see any problem with people predicting we won't make the top eight. Based on the last two seasons it's perfectly reasonable.

If he gets a contract it will only be for a year. So if it doesn't cost the club much then it may be worth the punt.
