  1. I'll take that. Ease into the day with a late Saturday start time and home by midnight after a few jars. By the time round 11 rolls around it'll be 1st against 10th, not 3rd. Very happy we've avoided the 3.20pm Sunday slot thus far. Don't know what the NT have done wrong to get two back to back GC games against North and Hawthorn. I thought we were trying to promote footy up there.
  2. I was there and stayed until mid way through the third quarter. No 29 for Willy was niggling him all night. That and some pretty trash service from further up the ground for much of the game might explain why he reacted as he did. Looks like we're stuck with his understudy for another week.
  3. Looking like a huge upset by the Suns against this year’s flag favourites 🤣
  4. Suns threatening to cough this game up.
  5. It’s surprisingly entertaining watching two teams constantly mess up things our players can do in their sleep these days.
  6. BB could've stood in the goal square picking his nose for four quarters last night for all I care but I'd still be bringing him into the side next week for SW.
  7. Disappointing. Was looking forward to Daisy say “After six years of hurt, it’s coming home” when lifting the cup.
  8. Either of these two sides would make worthy runners up this year.
  9. With the city end of the Litter Tray out of commission I wonder if they're allowing away fans into the place and if so where they're housing them?
  10. For the majority of that game it was like watching a boa constrictor slowly crush it's next meal. We were really disjointed trying to go inside fifty though. Hawthorn at their peak would have won that game by 20 goals.
  11. Those pickings were more likely over at the nearby tech school Ethan. At ours you were more likely to stumble across kids practicing sex ed when they should have been in geography class.
  12. The posh private schools in England (ie Eton) are confusingly called public schools where over here a public school is generally a state school. Back home I attended an Academy before we emigrated and it had a swimming pool, gymnasium, music rooms with lots of instruments and both hockey and football fields all within the grounds and was totally free. Over here I went to Cleeland High in Dandenong where the one 'oval' which was actually a football (round ball) field only had it's grass cut once every six months on a parent working bee day by which time it was three feet high and we had to pay for absolutely everything. Some contrast.
  13. I clicked on an AFL article on Daisy this week on fb and made the mistake of reading the comments underneath and they were all men complaining about how they’re sick of her screechy voice when commenting and how they’re sick of AFLW always being about her so they hope the Dees get smashed this week. Sad people.
  14. Disappointing to see Ben Brown miss. He'll be disappointed too no doubt as I'm sure he would have stayed over to watch the girls play on Saturday.
  15. I haven't seen a team capitulate this badly since....last night.
  16. Fair play to the Saints. They always find just the right mix of overpriced crocks, front runners and mediocre talent that will see them finish mid table for infinity.
  17. Cracking round of football so far with only North stinking it up.
  18. This has turned into a really good game. Hawks look to have bottomed out and are now on the rise whilst the Blues are still a work in progress, particularly at the back.
  19. At this rate Hawthorn could drop from 173% to 73%.
  20. Brisbane flexing their muscles by crushing 18th, 17th & 15th on the ladder so far. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
  21. If Chris Scott had coached Geelong in a different era he would've signed Cliff Young as a category b rookie.
  22. I think Collingwood put their watches forward an hour instead of back.
  23. I've seen spinach take longer to wilt than Collingwood in that last quarter.
