  1. Hi WCW. Yes, you obviously know Craig as well. I won't be in retro gear however. We do get the occasional drug house raid here unfortunately but most of the knife crime takes place in Deer (Fear) Park, Keilor and other new suburbs outside the ring road.
  2. I'm in Albion ED14 but when I'm not travelling interstate for a game I tend to head to the inner north, usually The Rose in Fitzroy which is good craic. Although as a one off I'll be at the London Tavern in Richmond for this week's game as a friend is having a 50th birthday there.
  3. I live on the western side of town and there's definitely a high proportion of Doggies supporters here. I used to work in Armadale but the office moved to Malvern recently and there's a lot of Dees bumper stickers on cars in both areas. There were also a lot of houses decorated there during GF week in '21 and a digital billboard put up by the local council I think wishing us luck so that's probably our heartland.
  4. Would anyone know which day this week the boys are most likely to train at Gosch's? I'm on annual leave and with the weather being so nice would like to ride down on the bike to take a look.
  5. With one eye on the future Geelong release images of their proposed new social club.
  6. The views from the new grandstand at Kardinia Park are incredible.
  7. With the exception of guys like Buddy, Josh Kennedy and Adam Goodes the Swans are constantly rolling academy players through their side with the result that they are perpetually good but rarely stellar. I think they will definitely be in and around the top four again this year but won't quite make it to the big dance this time.
  8. Someone has been on the catnip again.
  9. I feared the worst when they closed to within a goal and BBB was subbed off but that middle part of the third quarter when we wrestled back control was fantastic to witness. Three debutants already this year in contrast to 2022 when we arguably wore the same small squad of players into the ground causing Toby Bedford to look elsewhere.
  10. Looks like those hard fought wins against umm, Hawthorn and Gold Coast have taken their toll on the Bombers. Happy that the Saints get to celebrate being rubbish for 145 of their 150 years.
  11. At the Saints Disco in Linton St?
  12. Loving the collar on the jumpers. I really hope they got Molly a seat near the disabled toilets tonight. Bless him.
  13. Oh well. I guess in the end Carlton were slightly less diabolical than GWS.
  14. In a nice touch GWS appear to have named the top deck of the outer wing stand after both their members, Martin and Angus. No sign of either of them in there though. At the outer end it looks like the penny has dropped though and they've started replacing seats with garden landscaping.
  15. Tom will be our sub surely. Can play forward or back if required due to any in play injury.
  16. Happy about that. Brisbane back with the pack now. Perplexing how we lost to them.
  17. Lobb has all the presence of a wilted lettuce leaf.
  18. It would make sense to have a different club song but I couldn’t care less about the colours or their nickname. That’s what away / clash guernseys are for. There must be at least a dozen teams in the English football pyramid that wear black & white vertical stripes and call themselves The Magpies but none throw their toys out about it like Eddie Everywhere.
  19. I think less is often more when it comes to commemorative guernseys and this one works well.
  20. Shouldn’t this thread be called If Melbourne Tanked Again? At the end of the day, with a draft and salary cap in place it’s not as if you can just go out and buy up the best talent. If this leaves bottoming out in the short term as the best alternative then so be it. As long as a club doesn’t go crying to the AFL for priority draft picks after gutting their list then fine.
