  1. Sean Wight was Scots. From Glasgow. Nickname at the club was Haggis.
  2. ‘Maxy’ Maynard is the GM at Casey. I chatted to him, Mark Weideman, Kelly O’Donnell and T-Macs old man in the bar near where I sit a year or so ago during a game. He played for us around 1980-81 I think?
  3. I have no problem with the Cats having their own ground as it’s boring having nine Victorian teams playing out of the same two grounds every week. One of which is pretty soulless. I’d prefer that the likes of Collingwood get their turn to go down there though and perhaps they will if Geelong can have eleven games there with a 40k capacity. Moving it to the G on a Thursday night won’t attract 70k as it’s inconvenient for their local supporters and ours won’t turn up because it’s cold or at night or whatever.
  4. Was surprised to see my Sunbury line train home packed to the gills with their supporters. They must breed like rats.
  5. He was just getting in some practice for when he's handed his runners up medal in September.
  6. Geez Louise. Only we could have concocted a scenario where we nearly coughed up a game at the death that could’ve been won by 15 goals.
  7. I mentioned it to the guys checking tix on L2 and they’re not stopping any oppo fans getting in. Hopeless.
  8. No old55, you’re just projecting what you think on me. 😆
  9. We can all think what we want to think. It will have no impact on what actually happens.
  10. Hi 3183. I’ve also noticed that a few randoms that sit in the glassed in area behind us (extension of MCC?) take their chances in the empty seats in our area. I know we have a fair weather supporter base and this is one of the consequences of not turning up.
  11. I have no feeling either way about the game today, just hoping for the best. It's a beautiful sunny winters day however so I'm going to make the most of it. Mussels and frites washed down by some of the dark stuff should fortify me for the battle ahead. Anyone sitting in Tridents territory on L2 of the Olympic Stand should remind the people checking our tickets to enter our area that it is their job to make sure no opposition fans get in as our seats are non transferrable. I'm sick of oppo scumbags ruining my day. It's the only way they will get the message and do their jobs.
  12. This is a birthday de Koning will want to forget.
  13. When an unmanageable object meets an immovable farce.
  14. Carlton look like they could play all night and not kick another goal.
  15. Genuinely torn tonight. Can't decide if I want to see Essendon miss finals more than Voss get the sack.
  16. Time to load up on Richmond finishing 9th.
  17. What a game. Well done Tigers. Up yours Freo.
  18. Credit to the Tigers for not putting the cue in the rack this season. They're like a big old jobby that won't flush.
  19. There really should be a Get Worse Soon greeting card for news like this.
  20. What do they despise about us? Our civility and dental hygiene?

Jordan Lewis summed up the MRO best when he said they’re making up the rules as they go.
  22. Mate if I supported Celtic you’d have every reason to think that. The Tippler was also empty when we got there afterwards. They say it always is for a Melbourne home game. Great when you’re ordering multiple espresso martini’s at the bar.
  23. I sit with a mate in level 2 of the northern stand (tridents) and we were the only two people in a row of 22 seats on Friday night. Nobody trying to get past for a beer or a pee. It was great.
  24. I still see St Kilda & Essendon falling away, irrespective of how easy or hard their remaining fixture is, leaving six sides vying for those four places. I can only see the current top four creating a bigger gap though.
