  1. I tend to dislike the WA and SA sides more than the others because there's nothing original about booing anything and everything for two and a half hours week after week. Carrying this anti Victorian angst around all the time is only going to shorten their lifespan at the end of the day. I'm torn a little by Greater Western Sydney for having cool original colours but a ridiculous name. Some others just irritate me because no matter how well we're travelling we always seem to lose against them (St K & North) whilst Collingwood requires no explanation at all.
  2. I don't know about anyone else but the only thing that jarred a little with me was the fact that it was conducted by Damien Barrett. Not that there was anything wrong with his questions but considering the subject matter I think the girls from On The Mark on Fox for example could have mined a lot more from Goody's answers. Barrett's response to almost every reply was 'yep'. He should stick to what he's best at. Muckraking and innuendo.
  3. A case of The Cure being worse than the disease?
  4. I wouldn't have a scooby Demonstone. Outback rhyming slang?
  5. Melbourne - We don't have to touch the nurry as much. There's our 2020 slogan right there.
  6. I honestly think we've started to regress as a race Demonstone. This outbreak of idiocy is spreading far quicker than any virus.
  7. For what it's worth someone I know has just flown into Norway from England to do some cross country skiing. The small village she's staying in has 5 people with Covid-19 and another 15 people in quarantine. She got talking to someone who's relative is one of the five with the virus but who shows none of the obvious symptoms of it. The reality is that we're probably now beyond containment so anyone with a low immune system or who is elderly should probably try and adjust their lifestyles until a vaccine has passed all clinical trials and is on the market. Everyone else needs to stop losing their [censored] over this.
  8. Bunnings are now running out of 240 grade sandpaper. This is starting to get out of hand. By the weekend I’m going to have to decide between taking a dump and stripping back an old work bench I picked up on gumtree.
  9. Yeah. A little more refined these days but still a good venue when we play interstate. I heard that the guy who own the place is a Crows fan but there’s usually a good turnout of Dees when we play. There’s a good chance I’ll be booking a table for the WC game.
  10. Hi Pennant St. Quite possibly although if it was a few years ago there may have been others If you were there on a game day and they played the song afterwards then it definitely was. The fact we were 37 second from hearing the Gold Coast song last year still makes me shudder.
  11. The Rose in Napier St, Fitzroy is pretty good. The food and beer choices aren't bad and it's not overrun with nuffies on game days.
  12. One unintended consequence of Covid-19 is that it might free up some space on the MCC waiting list.Silver linings folks.
  13. I can't get past the firewall unfortunately but on face value this could only be a good thing for both his and the club's media profile. As he explained in his recent presser he finds it easier to relate to so many of his teammates because he's grappled with many of the issues they might currently be dealing with. He's also reasonably articulate and quite funny of course, all of which should help draw in the viewers.
  14. Their famous shinboner spirit will need to be at least 50% proof this year on that assessment. That said I'll still have a few $$ on them to turn us over by under a kick in Hobart again ?
  15. I know 2019 was an awful experience but it might just have been worth the pain to grab those three boys in the draft.
  16. Kozzie's hanger over Jacko ? .I'm going to miss these weekly documentaries when they end next week.
  17. In 1964 there was a rubella epidemic in the USA, an influenza epidemic in NZ and 400 cases of typhoid in Aberdeen, Scotland (traced to contaminated tins of corned beef from Uruguay if you were curious). Olympics, pestilence and leap years. I don't know about you folks but I don't believe in coincidences.
  18. Well that turned out to be a pleasant afternoon. Found a spot on the gasometer wing next to the Bradke clan. Whereas Maxy has recently shed 10kg Austin has gone the other way and put on 10 kegs. Now in the low 90’s. He loves being at the club and supported us growing up. Just like his dad. Five clubs were into him apparently but only had eyes for the red and blue.
  19. Whenever I come across an Essendon fan I always excuse them. It just seems like the compassionate thing to do.
  20. Friday afternoon off locked in. Going as much out of nostalgia as Arden St was one of my favourite away grounds back in the day.
  21. Certainly not something to be sneezed at.
  22. This inanimate carbon rod.
  23. To witness the lengths this collective unit want to go to in order to make our club successful goes a long way to strengthening the connection between club and supporters I think. It might be my 'go to' piece of footage if I find doubt creeping in at any point during the season and am in need of a pick me up.
  24. How good was the bit with the boys getting around Kozzie down at the beach. That was a great little video. Well done MFC ?
  25. No fruity new age brews for me either GT. Only dark ales. Dutch or Belgian dubbels where I can find them or failing all of the above a cold Guinness.
