  1. Excellent post blaming the coach is way to easy. Yes the players are to blame but getting ahead of themselves reflect an overall club culture than accept mediocrity. Good club would not pat themselves on the back for being flogged in a prelim.
  2. Just looking for one positive each of the team we have lost to are in the eight. Up until the bye there only two games currently you would rate us a chance Suns & Hawks. Tigers, Eagles; Giants; Crows; Pies look tough. If we beat Suns & Hawks we turn 3 win 9 losses. Scary. Imagine the weekly presser about transitioning and connecting better. At what stage is it acknowledged that every level of the club need to be reviewed. Maybe an Armageddon year is better than mediocrity. It will force hard truth to be confronted.
  3. On current ladder position we are the second worst team in the comp. that $26 for the spoon is looking enticing. Based on current form Swans and Kangas will battle us for number one draft pick. Evidently when we connect and transition better we will no longer be easy beats. Yeah and pigs will fly.
  4. Absolutely agree opposition coaches must lick their lips we never Spring a surprise. There plan A and then Plan A. Coaching indictment you can’t stop run of goals. Coaching 101
  5. Love point seven Ivan Drago. Putting aside the technical analysis (let face it where just no good) it would at least make me feel better if the coach stopped serving up the same platitudes week in week out. Whilst where losing how about trying some new things like TMac to defence, one on one; stacked backline; brawl anything we are so meek and accepting of defeat.
  6. It not the losing, it not the players, it not the coach it the absolute inevitability of following a basket case of a club. Through the rebuild I was patient as I believed in Roos and Jackson. We would lose but you felt step were being made in the right direction. Not now I have no confidence in any leadership level of this club from the chair (Mr Invisible) down. Losing is one thing but hope has been destroyed. We are looking at another re build there is absolutely nothing redeeming about where we are at. Don’t believe the crap about bring on Richmond they are seriously channeling Brad Green. We are heading for bottom four and what so depressing is we will butcher any high end draft pick but be sold a load of crap that we are on the right track. I honestly believe we are destined for years at the bottom it just the natural order of thing.
  7. It called coaching. Saints were well drilled where a shambles
  8. Toughen up the guys responsible for pathetic set up in defence. He deserves balance. These guys live the life of Riley if they don’t cut it stuff the sensitivities.
  9. Good free kick you can’t just fall on the ground. Sicily is the biggest whinger going round.
  10. Dean Kent look unfit. Puffing like a locomotive
  11. You want to see a bad umpiring watch the mark not paid to Blues with one minute to go. Seriously some of the umpiring very poor. Terrible game but what odds would you have got that Suns would be equal ladder leader. Mind you incredibly soft draw but a win a win
  12. Finally get a free and freaking disadvantage
  13. Agree but will take a six point deficit as we were slaughtered. So many players who do nothing
  14. That Kennedy throw was indicative of the umpiring
  15. Yes incredible at times it looked like blowing out.
  16. Absolutely gone if we lose tonight. Rather than flogging a dead horse which might see you scrape into the eight best to plan for next year. In particular if we are gone I would take absolutely no chances with Lever. If he does another knee then it turn into an unmitigated disaster. Of the other players mentioned they are either injury prone (AVB); unfit to play a season out (May) over rated (Gartlett) or just to old (Lewis). I cant see these players leading a premiership or even finals assault. Some of the team that are flying such as GC; Brisbane; Port leave us for dead in term of pace and fitness levels. Also I just cant see us competing with the heavy weight. Of the team currently in the eight I think the only suspect teams are Dogs & Freo. The Pies are a certainty so that leave one slot and it hard to see us passing the Swans; Tigers and Crows. No unfortunately where gone and in some respect it maybe a blessing as it will give May/Lever time to be firing next year plus a top draft pick to rectify our key issue outside run. If you factored that in to our team then we would not only make the finals but could be a genuine threat,
  17. To have any hope we need t o try something different. If Frost or OMac play on Franklin where going to get flogged. For mine start Max at CHF; Preuss to the ruck and TMac on Buddy. It might not work but will guarantee if we start with a predictable line up we will get hammered.
  18. I just hope they try something different. Why not give Preuss a go in the ruck and start Max forward. If we go with stock standard plans we will lose. Requires something out of the box.
  19. Totally agree where kidding ourselves if we reckon he the answer. If thing run his way can been good but goes missing way to often. Have many friends at Carlton they were not crying when he left. Say a lot
  20. Excellent point. The lack of depth amplifies why the outlook is so grim. ANB know he will get picked. Selection pressure is a critical factor in keeping players honest. ANB would definitely be dropped if there was an alternative.
