The Next CEO
Hawthorn & Geelong are great example of well run clubs. Perennial success built on strong cultures and leadership. It is no coincidence they are successful. The Dee’s appointed Jackson and Roos again leadership and culture success followed. It is an indictment on our recent club leadership (if you can call it that) not just Goody that it has been squandered. The collective recent leadership of Blues; Dee’s; Saints; Kangas and Bombers should hang their head in shame. The level of ineptness compared to Hawks; Cats; Pies is obvious. I for one am optimistic for the first time in ages. Smith; Guerra and King offer real hope. You don’t have to be Einstein to realise getting intel and modelling on a successful club like Geelong make sense. In Smith we have a smart articulate Chair; in Guerra we have a non footy club CEO focusing on corporate governance and leadership not normal footy club bs and King holding all the intellectual property of the most successful club in the last 20 years. It a great start not a sure fire thing but miles ahead of where we were,

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
Not sure leaving McInerney out for Forte was the way to go. Centre bounce slaughter atm.

NON-MFC: Round 24
1965 Hawks had one flag we had 12. 60 years later they have won 12 more and Dees one. Hawks have won a flag every decade since the 60s. 2023 they finished 16th with there decade winning sequence surely ending. Now back in contention. Go Lions

NON-MFC: Round 24
Wow good to see disgraceful umpiring doesn’t stop at Dees. Courageous defensive play penalised they are seriously blind with no feeling for the game.

May to Tribunal
Absolutely brilliant summary. If the AFL goes weak on this there are clearly two set of rules. He clearly saw Howe this cannot be disputed. Your wording from tribunal leave no room for doubt. This is a monumental test for the AFL and was obvious the moment they made the May decision. I for one don’t think either deserved sanction but the AFL has shifted the line and made their bed. As for King has there ever been a more ridiculous stance. The hypocrisy is breath taking. Anything this guy says in future about concussion is worthless. Maybe he has been hit in the head to many times. Example Chol never misses five minutes after he shanked an attempt on goal. King put a computer in front of him as a prop for credibility and intelligence but this issue has made him a moronic Neanderthal.

Ha King who wanted May thrown out for six weeks say pure accident. What is the difference. Make a complete fool of himself.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
Absolutely correct decision. Goody seem a good guy and will always be a premiership coach. However the cultural issues and performance have been disastrous. If he had kept coaching nothing would change but losing members. Full respect for this decision whether it works or not.

Time to go Goody?
Headline from Herald Sun. Dees must swap ‘love-in’ for hard edge as Goodwin fronts board I totally agree with this. Love in sums it up perfectly. Goody seems like a lovely bloke but everything has got to cosy. Everything is PR speak learnings; working hard; next premiership list; Goody my favourite coach. It flies in the face of what everyone can see a club in a nosedive to the bottom. It not just the St Kilda game but the continued blind faith that it will turn around. It won't. Goody inherited an A grade list but has given every indication he is totally bereft of how to rejuvenate a list. It a different challenge.

Time to go Goody?
Yes I received it. Show the pressure building. Gawn fronting media was so predictable. I feel as though I have heard that speech before. We only are ever fed BS. Put Maxy out shoulder the blame rinse and repeat. Jackson knew how to run a club. Ruthless but fair the whole thing just a love in now.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
I have been trying to look for positives. Unlike the other cellar dwellers we are at least competitive. Obviously not competitive every quarter but not blown away whole of game uncompetitive like Bummers, Norf, Eagles. The Dees clearly need change but reckless change could see us sink further. The simplest change is the coach supporters need to see some action. In relation to the list it not that bad we just need to be careful not to butcher the playing list. Yesterday was bad/disgraceful but we still have some great players who we need to hang onto. When I am really down I am thankful Kossi resigned losing him would have been far worse than losing yesterday.

No way AFL want Greene rubbed out but he should be. Lack of replays nothing to see here. It was a Maynard like effort.

Time to go Goody?
Richo can’t say what he left at Eagles inspires me. Goody deserves to see out his contract I simply can’t see a change without a CEO or president overseeing it is smart. The boys on the pod are spot on our biggest issue are skills we butcher the ball. To be in contention you need to take the game on and have the skills to match the risk. So much of our dare and risk is undone by poor skills. That why we need guys like Fritta great skills. Identify the ball butchers there the one we need to offload. In terms of how to do it look at Freo last week. Just prior to their last goal they nailed a high risk corridor kick that open the Pies up and led to a match winning goal. If that had been us we either would not have taken the kick for fear of losing or taken the kick and butchered it. AFL is a game of small margin and our skills kill us.

Where were all the foxtel warriors when Xerri knocked Swallow out.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Carlton eight players with less than 50 games. Pitiful performance umpires don’t change that fact. The loss was inevitable. Goodwin will say we know where we are at and building next premiership list. It a con job
