  1. Gunna be a champ. 20+ disposals. Great tackle on Toby. Like Windsor and Lindsay, has that basic fundamental skill, can get the ball.
  2. Agree he has great attitude, has some niggle and doesnt deviate off the line. Just needs to get the footy.
  3. He played so well he was subbed out. Fullarton has played the last 2 as well. Btw how do you measure pressure?
  4. 4 disposals? 2 tackles, blinder of a game. Needs to get the ball and run harder. Probably stay in the extended squad as he is from WA.
  5. Kolt - get the ball
  6. I reckon Harvey deserved a vote for that tackle on Toby.
  7. Bowey Salem Gawn Tracca Rivers Langford
  8. Go Dees. Lest We Forget.
  9. Havent got a clue why it should be subsidised tbh. The Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust (CRRT) manages all the Crown Land on the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve (CRR) which is about as far as the eye can see when you go to a race meeting. All the grandstands are part of the leasehold as they are on Crown Land. The CRR has a nominal value of $228 million. The Melbourne Race Club leases a substantial part of the CRR from the CRRT for their racing activities. The MRC has a 65 year lease which started in 2018 for which they pay the massive amount of $333,000 per annum. And obviously the MRC have some running costs for maintaining the track. The MFC plans to lease a small parcel of land from the CRRT on which our new headquarters will be built. (Whether this has extra facilities for other parties I do not know). This will require a new access road from Booran Rd. I assume the cost for building the HQ will be mostly the responsibility of the MFC. The 2 large training ovals and other facilities will also be for community use so funding should come from MFC, Glen Eira Council, CRRT, State and Federal Funds. In terms of ongoing cost there will be annual rent which I assume would be no more than what the MRC is paying and our share of the maintenance of the ovals. Source for this is the CRRT Annual Report, MFC Feasibility Study, Auditor Generals Office and my head.
  10. I thought the rent was very low anyway.
  11. A very pleasant morning track side with lots of kids getting autographs and selfies. Pretty much a full turnout except for long term injuries. Marty Hore was out very early but is still 3 weeks away. Has a natural great smile. Bill, Kynan and Woey out next. Clarry and Fritta were kick to kick practising low ball gets. May went ok but looks tender. It was a light session and you could read alot into who was with who but thats just a guess. Tracca having shots from the boundary with Choco on the mark at the end.
  12. I hate to spread bad news but when I walked around the caulfield racecourse on the weekend I saw at least 30 magpies.
  13. Yep thats one of them x 10
  14. How would a Goal Umpire train? Back in the 90's I used to work with a goalie and i can tell you he was very fit. Most of the training was done after work and in winter this meant after dark so you need a ground with good lighting. The goalie training consisted of sprinting to position, signaling, waving and folding flags etc, over and over again. And standing bolt upright.
  15. I was sitting on the wing and hardly noticed TMC. (What are they putting in the beer you may ask). I think it was because with his nondescript 'hairdo' he looks like anyone else in a 20's numbered jumper running around our backline. And yes eye appointment has been booked for early May.
  16. and his opponent stands so he cant easily get on to his left. At the moment he is being treated like a kid playing his first few games. (Gunna be a champ).
  17. Still on a high.
  18. (I liked his bumps so i snuck him in....)
  19. Did his job today. Well done.
  20. Bowey Kossie Petty Gawn Rivers Windsor
  21. I'm going. Which bar has the best view of the park land?
  22. It is miserable times at the moment, which is the norm for most of my football life, but one diffewrnce is that the club is not broke. We have money and the AFL is not asking us to raise more money (like the Saints). We have winning experience at modern day success. Drafting hasnt been a disaster. Adminstratively we are much more professional.
  23. Or how about a 4th backup ruckman for Gawn, just in case Max can no longer jump or run...
  24. No matter who it is we will need a much better list.
  25. or just making a point
