Where on earth did this "learnings" word come from? I'm hearing it in every second radio and vid interview. It used to be "lessons"  or even "experiences", or whatever, but I assume that's not quite "mindful" enough now for our suddenly enlightened new-age coaches.

dont get me started on the L" word

I love how everyone complains about Weideman and says that he wont make it etc but, when you compare the 2, Weideman has had a far better career than Watts already and has far more attributes.

I guess the issue with Preuss is that he is only a ruckman and isn't going to be able to contribute much or get a lot of games as a forward target. Jackson looks like a credible future option, with chop out support available even if Gawn needs weeks off while Jackson is still young.

Given how much we need a big body up forward it would be a perfect result for all involved if Preuss moved to somewhere that needs a ruckman only, and in the backswing Melbourne can find a physical forward/ruck who absolutely does not need to be a star, just has to fill the role.

A ruckman who isn't a star can't afford to be sentimental and we need to be able to offer maximum opportunity to any forward/ruck who can deliver what we need.

we do have brown dont forget

I can accept he's had his share of average games, but overall I view his season as positive steps toward becoming the player we need him to be. We all know key tall generally take much longer to develop, and I reckon we'll get 40+ out of him next year if he is allowed to play the role he is best suited for.

Weid is a brilliant #2 tall forward - he plays that role really well. All we need to do is 1) not make him our #1 tall and 2) go find a #1 tall.

we have jackson as the other tall ,weid is developing well ,jackson will be in and out while he also develops so we need brownto play even if just to add experience
