Our Failure to Crush Teams
Sweet numbers!!

Changes vs Adelaide
Bernie stays on for Crows and that hit on Thomas is a bit of what he brings every week, and every really good team always has a few tough players.

Changes vs Adelaide
After 109 point win, and I’m still grinning, normally wouldn’t make any changes, but I would give Spargo a rest next week and bring in Garlett. Spargo has been going really well and is very competitive but looked a little tired today in the 2nd half.

Which of our young stars will end up our best player
I don’t care who will be best, as long as they are all premiership players for the Dees!!

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Well said. He has improved out of sight, still has things to improve, but the signs are bright.

Come on optimists, sell me hope
Positives Hibberd back in town Spargo instinctive football & nippy Jetta back in town OMac looking pretty solid Max taps to advantage Brayshaw back to life (2nd half looked good) Frisch class & polish Hannan showed some smarts (just needs to be more consistent week win week out) Weideman definitely improving TMac very good first up There’s 10 for you!

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Oscar is holding down fullback and doing pretty well each week. He has improved significantly from last year and becoming reliable. If he continues to improve at the current rate, he will become a top fullback.

Charlie Spargo
It will be a positive sign for our depth and form if he plays well in the VFL and struggles to get a game in the ones.

Angus Brayshaw
After multiple concussions and then wisdom teeth out, having one week out and then a run in the twos makes sense. Would be good to see him get half a dozen games in the ones, as part of centre rotation, and see what he can do. He deserves an injury free season, so we can see what he can deliver.

Injury List - Season 2018
Demons will do a much better job covering Viney, TMac, Lewis, Tyson and ANB, than the Cats will do with Dangerfield & Ablett!

List Analysis Potential v Reality
See where we stand at the end of 2018. Another pre season and 20 more games into Oliver, Hogan, Petracca and Lever, plus injury free seasons for Max and Jack, the Demons will have their fair share of A graders!

Agree, he takes some great marks, competes hard, seems to have a really good attitude, but perhaps his consistency issue relates to being good, but possibly not quite good enough. But is okay as a depth player. He played a few really good games last year and hopefully can do the same next year when he gets a chance.

Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent
Best of luck to JT, hard to get over vision of him against North being left 20 metres behind one of the Roos players. Looked as slow as treacle!

List Analysis Potential v Reality
I think both Harmes and ANB are still only 21 and haven’t played 50 games yet. Give them both another pre season and 20 more games each, then they will believe they are AFL players and build some confidence, then we can better judge them if they reached their respective peak. I’ve read and heard from many sports people trying to break into professional sport, believing they are good enough and belong is one of the major hurdles to overcome! Just look at the Tigers this year, got on a roll, great run with injuries and a good draw, got used to winning, developed confidence, won a flag! The most exciting thing about next year is 10 of our best 22, fall into the 20-22 age bracket, that will pass the 50 game bracket next year, all with major room for improvement. 2018, bring it on!

2018 Membership Thread
While R23 was a terrible way to end the year and some supporters were distraught about Jack Watts, I’ve supported the Demons for 50 plus years and will continue to do so regardless of wins or losses and players who come and go. We have a massive upside in our younger players including OMac, Lever, Salem, Hunt, Oliver, Petracca, ANB, Hogan, Brayshaw, and Harmes all who sit in 30-60 game bracket, that’s almost half the team. Another pre season into these players and as they move into 50-80 game bracket we should see them become more consistent, play out the season inc round 23, and then finals! This team has the upside to be our best in the last 50 years, so fingers crossed, keep supporting the Demons and sign up if you can for 2018.
