You’ve significantly ramped-up your presence here since the team has been on a losing streak, and your contributions are some of the most antagonistic, childish and aggressive posts I’ve seen on Demonland in quite some time. There’s plenty of room here for disagreement without needing to resort to “troll” behaviour.

Absolutely shattered for our star. The club is so damn lucky that the Pies didn’t choose to target his injury when he came back on, otherwise there would be absolute hell to pay.

So many people letting our medic/coaching staff off the hook here. It was beyond obvious that he was in serious trouble, and putting him back on the ground was some of the dumbest [censored] I’ve seen from our club in recent times. Add this to the never-ending list of questions to be asked of Goodwin & co.

There is value, in that it makes supporters feel like they’re not going insane. The delusional, cliche-ridden nonsense that Goodwin coughed up at the presser provided much less “value” than the truth-bombs Schwarz was dropping.

On the AFL Reddit page there are countless posts from opposition supporters who are appalled by the fact that Trac was put back on the field. I am in complete agreement. Has anyone ever seen Trac in that much agony as he was being walked off the ground? No. It was obvious that something was very, very wrong. But we all know the coach has had run-ins with medicos trying to do their job and protect the players. I followed the Essendon scandal very closely at the time, and I was shocked when we appointed Goodwin as our head coach. In my opinion, it was a total abandonment of core values. My opinion has not changed.

I’m turning off and going for a walk. Sick of this club being led by spud who can’t string a sentence together.

That was a rubbish call.

We all support the same team, but that’s where a lot of our commonality ends. People who make comments like this are lacking cerebral power. Also that particular poster should be booted off the site entirely.

Apparently he’s a good bloke who the players love or some such garbage. Ever since I read his text messages to Stephen Dank I’ve had him figured out. Takes a lot of other people considerable time to figure it out apparently.

Sack Goodwin. It’s not our injury list. It’s not the lack of talent. Sack him.

He’s always been a butcher by foot. His close-contest game is what’s made him a star and that’s not what he’s delivering. We’re just watching him in a long rehab.

Our coach is a low-intellect individual. Good footy brain. But in terms of general communication, he is not who I want in charge.

It’s funny. I think that last match was - and I really dislike this overused term - “triggering” for the majority of folks here. A genuine and out-of-the-blue flashback to a time we’d thought wouldn’t come back to haunt us again, so soon. But aside from the despair and the deeply unsettling feeling of the ground falling away from under your feet, I was also reminded of a time when I was less invested in the possibility of a finals appearance (let alone a grand final), and was just happy whenever the team got up. I also remember my weekends being far more free of a certain distraction, and my blood pressure maintaining a consistent reading. Ultimately, I don’t want to to revisit those dark days. But my doctor/zen monk would probably be prescribing such so-called darkness.

Getting weird in here, guys. I missed the game because my mum had a health scare and I was in the emergency ward with her all afternoon. Turns out I had a better afternoon than anyone who watched the game. (She’s ok, btw).
