  1. Getting rid of the ā€œfixtureā€ would crush the equalisation fund. Crush that and teams like St Kilda, Bulldogs, North and Melbourne are finished. That’s not a debate you are going to win, you don’t have the numbers. First, you need to build your crowds, memberships & net profits - all very trivial I understand. AFL assisted you in survival by selecting CEO, Board and facilitating key coaching appointments. But is over to you now - best of luck.
  2. Another fantastic win - was really proud of the boys how they overcome the early setbacks and just powered away to win comfortably. Hopefully, just another game to add to the bielf - that success is a combination of hard work and a positive mind set. Go Dees
  3. Yeah I don’t see it that way - I think all he ever does is try and share his love for the club. Now, Saty and his partner have not always seen eye to eye with me either - but I think I was more at fault there. I’ve learnt more from meeting him than he knows. But each to their own
  4. Ok fair enough well said, but I’m not walking away from saying Saty is one of the most loyal, passionate Demons supporters you will ever meet. He and his lovely partner go to nearly ever game for as long as I can remember- he bleeds red & blue. So he is 10 x a better supporter than I will ever be.
  5. Yeah but some people have been saying that for the last 4 years - it’s the same small group in nearly every thread - same tactics - just they attack another poster. I don’t think they will ever learn. Saty, is one of the most loyal passionate MFC supporters you would ever meet - he is 10 times a better supporter than me and may I add the ā€œtrollsā€ attacking him.
  6. Yeah interesting reply - thanks for taking the time.
  7. Thats the glaring problem when you just focus on pure numbers. The only meaningful number from memberships should be - Net Profit. What I've always wondered is ... How profitable are Armchair Memberships, 3 game MFC members and MCC Demons allocated members.

99% of the reason another MFC forum was closed down was due to threads like these. I'm not religious so they don't offend me. But I cant see the need for them on an AFL site.
  9. Injuries going into September will be the key

I agree with Peggy expansion clubs are a long term project but essential component of a National competition to secure TV rights deal that benefit all clubs

Without AFL MFC was gawnnnnnnn - shut the doors last to leave the building to switch the lights off forever.

  13. Each club only has so many tickets allocated - you better get in before those evil corporate customers, they will pay the price in an instant. But wait a second those ā€œevilā€ corporates pay year in year out irrespective of what teams are in the grand final. You could make more money on your corporates than your whole membership put together- shame on you AFL clubs ?
  14. Shame CB did not have the ability to sell himself optimism - but such is life.

Fair enough - However, in todays game coaches love players that can win their own football - winning the contested ball is everything. Funny enough I reckon our position will be strengthened or weakened depending on what we decide to do with Lewis & Vince. Fun times ahead.

Or exactly what I said we would pay before the trade went thru ( I even made a bet on this site ) and exactly what Peter Jackson confirmed after the trade went thru. Adelaide opted for the 2 x first rounders due to the fact this years draft in full of talented SA kids - so no go home factor - and we were more than happy to oblige. Lever was a bargain due to the Crows internal player payment structure - but that payment structure has worked well for them in the past just in this instance we took advantage of it. Wines needs to be our priority this year, followed by Gaff as a free agent. I think we will easily have the cap room - Port wont have, but Ollie is very loyal. Gaff think the salary would be similar on either side of the country - just a matter of does he want to come home.
