I've wanted to not believe it because i love Petts, but this has been bubbling in the background for over a month. 1m a year we can't compete with that, i reckon he's as good as gone. #FML

Also pick 14.

I wouldn't talk to them until next week Monday make them sweat, they would clearly know what we want. F'em.

I have no intel behind what I'm about to say, but i have a sneaking suspicion we are secretly after a key forward who's current training ground is not to far away from the MCG. One of the reasons we are clearing the decks for cap space. -
Thank you for the wonderful memories Harmsey. Perth 2021 GF was special in the flesh, lace out to Fritta, Peak Harmes in full flight, a sight to behold, been an absolute pleasure. Premiership player for life. 🏆🥇🇱🇮

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lamb said Grundy had “handled himself magnificently” in tough circumstances at Melbourne as he was left out of the Demons’ finals campaign. “We acknowledge it was a difficult end to the season for Brodes, but he handled himself magnificently really, for a player of his calibre,” he said. “He actually said how much he loves the place in his exit interview, he has said that he would like to get to Sydney … purely that’s a desire to play regular senior footy, which is what Sydney has obviously offered him. “He is contracted and we don’t need him to go, and if we can’t get a deal done we’re more than comfortable for him to stay.” -

Really loved hearing Lamby's response to the question posed during a trade week interview about Grundy. Sydney clearly low balling us and Lamby has played a classic straight bat drive through the V for four. "He's a contracted player if a deal can't get done he can continue on with us" Or words to that affect. In the words of Dennis Denuto F'n Brilliant from Lamby Absolutely loved it to bits, so Sydney come to the party or Grundy is held to his contract, simples. -
I agree pick 23 is the fair trade but if they are playing funny buggers and are thinking of offering pick 31 or low for a player with 4 years running they are kidding themselves. Collingwood are asking for pick 23 also for Adams.

I hope for the sake of our draft hand the crop is a strong one in 2023. Anyone in the know who rates the 2023 draft talent?

Maynard must get at least four weeks
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to leave it to deever's topic in Melbourne Demons
The guy is a W⚓️ Hibbo twice the player he would ever be. -
I seriously hope the club uses the picks we have accumulate in the draft order and doesn't put them towards a tilt a Reid. We did well from the 2019 draft selecting the talent from our allocated picks eg. Kozi, Riv and Jacko.
-
Sydney better get creative, i really hope we don't cave in with a player who still has 4 years to run on a contract. I can't see how it's not pick 11 for a KPP they desperately need. Dees hold all the cards in this case.

List clogger at best, a walking clanger waiting to happen.
-
So everything is hunky dory then @whatwhat say what?
-
He should hang his head in shame. Doubling down. Did Peter buy Angus' Mum a bottle of wine also? @dazzledavey36?
-
Was Peter Maynard in attendance? I'd be absolutely disgusted if he was there after what his son did to Angus that [censored] thug.

I think we need to get another club interested to get a higher premium from the Swans. How bout Geelong maybe we can rock tease them a bit to get a bit of talk around Grunds. Swans are the biggest bunch of vultures who prey on the misfortune of players from other clubs and want players for unders everytime. Absolute Scrooge's.
-
I would have loved Naughts at our club but not at that Price, Bulldogs paying overs big time on the deal. Don't you just love the Swans trade methods?😂
-
Isn't JJ going to the Swans along with Grunds also? I think pick 23 is a fair trade.
-
All i can say is this Harley Reid must be one hell of a player if we are contemplating trading Clarry.
-
Can't stand the crunt, whoever is feeding him info from the MFC should be burnt at the stake along side him.

What if Tracc and Gawny have done an Amanda Duncan and given them the Green light to do a trade?
