The major problem with Goodwin is he's a 2nd year coach.
He's still very young in coaching terms, all coaches go through this.
No one comes in fully formed...
You think he's worked out to play another tall backman yet rjay?

SAme as last year.
They struggle to make decisions to nullify opposition surges.
Goodwin looked stunned last night with nothing to put in place.
The major Problem with Goodwin is he is too proud to vear away from his attacking principals/philosophy and nulify attack surges against us. He is very stubborn our coach of ours.
We have to find out in a hurry the best way to incorporate Jake Lever in our system and get the best out of him. Introducing and extra tall eg. Sam Frost will allow in my opinion the freedom to play his 3rd tall intercepting role he was know for with the crows.
At present he is playing as a 2nd tall and he is extremely uncomfortable executing his natural output in a game. second guessing his marking, spoiling and ball retention qualities in the process which dont shed light on his strengths.
we will get our arses handed to us by North if we dont restructure our backline with the addition of Sam Frost full stop.

11 kicks ... 24 handballs
Needs to reverse that and then he will start getting the accolades he probably deserves from the commentators
what about the 15 metre handball to petracca out in space, who went long to Hogan in the Goal square. Thats worth double than a kick, dont over look the importance of a team releasing handball that leads to setting up attacking movements DJ.

Why do people think Frosty will be back to play on Ben Brown.
Frosty is not a good body on body player and pretty average in the air.
not to play on Ben Brown specifically but to help out and create some run and overlap we look so slow and ball movement is lethargic.

you watch the next team to play brisbane they will slaughter them by 70 or 80 pts this is beyondblue type ramifications.

The result makes the Lions game even more important this Sunday. Given the saints ( a rabble today ) beat the Lions by 4 goals last , what does that suggest would be an acceptable result Sunday?
If its under 6 goals I'd be worried.
Im trying not to think about it D17.

Frost surely has to come back in next week, if we play 1 on 1 with Ben Brown our holes will become very enlarged.
Have to play with a spare a defender against the Roos, the guy has plenty of run and dare.

Roos v saints
What a horrible standard of a game so far, half way through the 1st. Crowd looks small too for the only game in Melbourne. I wonder how long they will keep it.
one of the worst games i have ever seen.

Might be an idea that the powers that be at the MFC get onto Megellan global trust, they have pulled their sponsorship at Cricket Australia.

I dunno but we are very good at just bombing the ball forward inside 50 to a pack
No composure forward of center and inside 50 its what cost us the game, we will get them next time.

Zac Merritt and Curnow before Clayton Oliver, tell them there dreaming. We have 4 in the top 10 not just 3 please.
-
Its was his first game under real premiership point heat yes Jake struggled first half as did the rest of the back 6. He is still learning the system of the back 6 and to the teams credit fought back incredibly well. We looked rusty and lacked composure forward of center going into our forward 50 bombing it straight into 1 on 3 and 2 on 3 situations incredibly frustrating this should all smooth out with ongoing match fitness and conditioning.
Keeping the faith.

In my opinion Frost, Brayshaw and Tyson are best 22 without a doubt, for what ever reason they werent play well goody has to come out and explain why. Factor in Mcdonald and Viney thats 5 of our best 22 IMO not playing on Sun thats nearly a 1/4 of a side. Not excusing the performance it was terrible 1st half, 2nd better but far from our best especially 1.7 not going to win games with conversion like that.
There is more to come from this side its round 1 ffs, im not throwing in the towel like many clowns on here are grow a set peoples.

He cost us last year with his BS and he is doing the same this year pull your [censored] head in lewy or [censored] off to retirement.

Not sold on Maynard. To me just a squad midfielder. No Brayshaw or Tyson is incredible to me lost at selection this game. Gift wrapped 4pts to those red necks.

i think he's return will be against the tiges r5, it makes no sense bring him in any earlier as we have sufficient cover in the midfield these days.

She is a typical mole always looking for a cheap old headline. I hope we smash Geelong this we and that article is shove down her throat.

Im getting sick and tired of Jordan Lewis and his attitude. i personally think Lewis and Bernie Vince can't play in the same team too similar and both too slow.
