Our club has always had a questionable culture. Now Jack Watts is being blamed for not making the finals. The Ox has has always maintained his rage. Mr  Lyon always makes excuses, and blames others. Look at Richmond, ex footballer who became laywer = chief exec. turned club around by trust. Mr Lyon became a celeb and enjoyed what came with it.

This would have to be the most stupidest thing anyone has said on this forum complete crap

Needs to go on the Pedo diet. Lose 10 kegs and we'll see a completely more explosive Dean Kent.

Ball is in his court. I hope he knuckles down because I'm one of few here that actually rate him highly when his confidence is up.

agreed but not 10 kgs half of that and he regain that explosive pace back, he's too heavy to play that small forward role 179cms 78-9 kgs and he'll be back.

Countless work on his kicking over the pre season.

Saty, when will you learn that the players aren't going to criticise people within their organisation to outsider nobodies?

Your fighting a losing battle here saty, people on here would think your Dave Mission's old man on here trying to defend him???. There is a reason why this topic was started and that's because people have lost patience we want answers no excuses.

The only constant is you whining

I speak to the players and they have complete faith in the whole fitness/rehab/medical staff

Of course the staff visit other facilities in fact we have a couple of staff who are that highly regarded in their field, they are invited to present in other forums

Miuch that it pains me to agree with him, @Sir Why You Little is right on the money, the only hurdle left is the mental one

What do you expect the players to say? They've got no idea it's a complete shambles? results is what we want to see fitness department completely f'd it's operation this year the heat is on were onto him don't worry I'll be revisiting this topic in 12 months time.

  5. The players aren't immune to the criticism Jonesy has to step it up next year as does Viney and the rest of the leadership group. One good thing that will come of all this criticism is that it can all turn in 1 pre season shift the tide can turn but everyone has to buy into it.

If this were Real Madrid or Barcelona and I know it's not, Mission would have been gone 10 times over at the end of 2017.

Does Mission go and look at other sports departments around the world NFL EPL NBA club's to have a look at it's training and fitness structures this is where the club should be placing it's money, this is what's costing us big time.

Or is he placing his faith in all the success he's had in training our highly successful olympic athletes?

Often the notion of change if only for change's sake , is pilloried as misguided, unwarranted and all but ignorance.

Are we as successful in this department as might be though. Are our current results whilst not bad , not brilliant ?

We aim to raise the bar in all areas of the club's performance. Could this area be better ?

If it can be better , if we are only comparing our current status to a previous might we not look outwardly and everywhere as to what is now state of the art ?

    Arw we there ?

If not...we should aim to be. That might require fresh faces. It might.

Of course it can be better, that's why we're calling for change how many more chances is mission going to get really? When are we going to become ruthless? Every little detail of our club's fitness department needs to be thoughly reviewed the amount of injuries we sustained all round the same time was the reason we faded this year.

This year was Missions 5th year in the Job right? I think he's very comfortable in the environment hes in, what's he hanging his hat on in terms of AFL? Oh leading the bulldogs to 3 prelims in 2008 09 10 that was near a decade ago.

Please to all the do gooders dont bring up He trained olympic athletes sprinters and pole vaulters these are athletes that deal with body contact and repeat efforts.

If im PJ I'm absolutely filthy with the way the season has fizzled out and Richmond in the space of 1 pre season after coming of a 8 win season are in a Grand Final on the back of an injection in youth, clean bill of health and a sustained intensity of game plan and fitness management protocols.

Don't talk to me about ignorance.

  7. We need a fresh set of eyes in our fitness department I've been saying it since the start of 2016, Mission has had his time way out of his depth our team is nowhere near fit enough hence all of our fade outs all the soft tissue injuries cant cop this any longer time for results noe no more BS.

Thats too much. You dont give up two nice assets for Lever.

    Thats 2nd rounder has value.

They want 2 first rounders ffs I think it's slightly overs but it's our top recruiting priority. They are not touching our 1st rounder in 2018 no [censored] way. They have another backmen thats suppose to be just as he as Lever in Tommy Doodee. So they shouldn't be too greedy.

good break down. I think its interesting to reflect back on players in the past that didnt make the grade. At the time they are often praised and worshiped on this board but when they get delisted theres not a peep from anyone.

why did people think that the following players simply werent up to afl standard:

    - Bate

    - Morton

    - newton

    -strauss

    - tapscott

    - blease

    -maric

    unbelievable
