like I said many weeks ago. the season was done when we lost to Freo We didn't deserve to make finals and I'm glad we didn't because we need to learn to be better than the crap we served up

I knew a lot of fans here don't know much about footy. Petty showed a lot of promise as a forward.And is genuine height and a reliable kick for goal.

Everyone knows I'm negative when it comes to our coach/players but Weideman isn't our issue. He flies for marks and crashes packs which is good for a guy with a slim frame. He gave a ball off to Hunt in the goal square yday so there's a goal that really should be next to his name. I don't agree with the narrative of 'why is everyone complaining, we got the job done. All we needed to do was win and we did'. It's a very simplistic view. In all likelihood the bulldogs win and we have 6 months of pre-season knowing that despite playing well we could've lost to a very poor essendon team. Couple that with being smashed by Fremantle and Sydney it confirms that our lack of defensive pressure doesn't stand up in the home and away season, let alone finals. A lot of work to be done in the off season.

But wait, isn't Goodwin responsible for developing Weideman by keeping him out of the side for 6 weeks? Jokes aside, Weideman is the least of our issues. He didn't exactly drop any sitters that I saw. He still flies for his marks. He already has made it as an afl player but he'll only be a 3rd tall.

He is there to kick goals and create forward pressure. He hasn't had 1 chase down tackle all year has he. Or are you satisfied with the illusion of pressure without actually laying any tackles? and his goal kicking skills have been pretty [censored] so far anyway. I'd like to see more skills from him.

Everything you said is spot on. Don't let anyone sell you blind hope. We are stuffed with Goodwin driving everything! Out stoppage structure is completely out of whack and our ability to lock down is arguably getting worse!

if you put me on the ground for 2 hours I'm sure I'd do something also. When you get to the point where you remember one or two pieces of play that's when you know they've been quiet.

Not sure why people care. We got taught a football lesson by Fremantle and Sydney. We don't deserve to play finals. And I'm not all that motivated to play finals only for our lack of structure and defensive pressure to rear its ugly head again.

bulldogs aren't going to lose tomorrow if their season is on the line. They're not melbourne. And they're actually playing good footy.

Enjoy listening to another year of Goodwin dribble about 'key learnings', 'not where we want to be as a footy club', 'got to be better' and another year of not getting the best out of a good list. You dont get a trophy for making finals. Nothing other than top 4 should have been acceptable.
