  1. He's not even in the shed. He is standing outside in the rain, shivering.
  2. As the sun sets on Freo's pre-Christmas extravaganza, it will not matter who they elect to get, at bargain prices, and who they eventually receive. It just ain't going to do them any good; their whole outfit is in shambles at present and recuperation is so far away that they'd waste the careers of any new blood to their lists.
  3. Your thinking, wwsw, is possibly that of a realist.
  4. That 'kick into gear' is well overdue - the Freo brains trust considers itself uniquely superior, obviously; so superior that is almost infringing on the flexibility of the trade protocols. Two nights, then the gun.
  5. I am actually hoping that it happens and Freo still miss out on Hogan. Crash and burn. Wonder who the new appointee will be?
  6. As that was one of the stupidest comments on the thread, special robert, does that mean you are volunteering for the aforementioned avatars as a form of sanction? Bezel and I would be happy to so apportion.
  7. ...with advertising runs in batches of 8 - 10 as the commentators really don't have much to say in that exposure interval.
  8. Yes, and all dignity and morality means absolutely nothing if an improved dollar outcome is chased - whether received or just missed.
  9. Correct, so the presence of May in the mix of Jetta, HIbberd, Frost, Lever, Salem et al will be crucial for 2019/20.
  10. Possible and a beneficial win-win for those concerned. There are more than first glance countings concerned in this one. Anything is better than: adjusting a team and playing with an unhappy presence when potentially you should be on a roll, and having Freo score Hogan down the track in any way, shape or form. The AFL bump might assist, as well, seeing the perpetrators of system disregard, cant and fair trading contempt played it out so badly in their first wander into the darkness.
  11. One could wear a blue helmet, the other could wear a red helmet. Red 'n Blue. Why don't we all wear headgear, come to think of it as concussive injuries are rife these days. Set a nice little precedent.
  12. What? Hand permanently affixed to his membership? Surgery?
  13. Signs of a person who is not very confident in the decisions and actions that he might take or gets involved in, yet still insists on punching above his weight.
  14. It would be a measure of Whoreform's status as a destination club and AFL favourite should they get both Wingard and Scully.
  15. In their flights of fancy, Freo over the past weeks (months, years) have coveted, swooned and tantalised themselves to embarrassing levels over Hogan and thereby, in their fumbling stupidity they have mocked, devalued and largely insulted Jesse and the MFC's regard for this young footballer to extraordinary lengths and degrees of severity. Walking with two twisted left feet into a very pedestrian attempt of doing a sweet bubblegum 'deal' with Jesse firstly - and secondly, the MFC - the big world outside of their tiny levels of intelligence has been polite, caring and now, was forced for the sake of football itself to ignore them as a precursor to their immediate clout within the AFL across the next few years. So glad that they failed in their juvenile thinking and limited application. So, go Jesse - kick 100 goals in 2019 with the Dees on a long-term contract across your footballing generation. As for Freo, grow up!
  16. After the 'treatment' by the Dockers alleged negotiating team, if we were a spiteful club, this trade with GCS would now take place. In addition but alternatively, if we were a club looking to improve that final step to achieve a Grand Final, this trade would still take place. Mahoney's use of a couple of days space, following our rejection of the Freo trade offer in all its generosity and fairness, could really emphasise the disdain and unprofessional strategies employed by Freo in the first offers to acquire Hogan, like an exploding cigar.
  17. He was a very good contributor but the side changed for the better with some outstanding new talents across the midfield. Wish Dom the best of luck and footballing fortunes at North and thanks for the great efforts over the past few years.
  18. RBG is correct - a work in progress but that is not negative, at all. He has made strides and has the endeavour to succeed. He can be impressive. Game time - big stage - is critical as he has shown in limited exposure. One day he may be an active fwd. as well.
  19. Yes, we have adequate ruck strength, now. We have added fwd and bckwd strength, firepower, mobile megalithic killing power - and above all, attitude. Save the bucks now on May. Get him in next year but keep him very, very sweet. KK must come in and be developed our way. Big pre-season, individual developments should be a feature and then, work on strategies and team play to accommodate what we are now. Combinations look absolutely awesome and the best runners, retained.
  20. I can fully understand that - particularly as a KPD. But where else? Casey might do well with him for a coupla years?
  21. Up forward, Preuss will give both the Weed and TMac heaps of options to lead forward of the goalmouth. He could also be handy for a smaller crumber for snaps. Great potential for the team.
