Farewell Toby Bedford
Tbh I haven’t seen a lot of Hill but who knows what could happen with a change of scenery, chances are he goes to Collingwood and dominates similarly to Stengle (albeit very different situations) Same with Henry, hasn’t shown a massive amount at Freo but if he’s exploring his options I think we’d be silly not to at least put the feelers out

Port chasing Kozzy Pickett
It’s funny the amount of people in the comments saying port would be paying overs.. What has Duursma done other than being known for a cringe goal celebration

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Agree we lack depth there but I reckon we’re better off getting ‘mature’ (23-25) age players who can plug that gap. Feel like it’s harder to develop younger players properly when the starting lineup is as stacked as it is. Would be good to get a Cadman or Keeler type. Our forward line needs more of an injection of youth than our midfield Time will tell

Farewell Luke Jackson
Although I’m disappointed he’s leaving, I’ve had the opinion all year that it was a win/win scenario for Melbourne. If he were to stay then we have a potentially generational talent to build around, but now that he’s leaving we should expect to get a decent haul in return. However speculative draft picks may be, I’m confident that we have the culture and the ability to develop the talent we bring in. People can say what they want but I’m excited about the possibility of retooling a premiership calibre team and injecting some fresh blood - something that clearly wasn’t done enough this year.

Lets hope Sideshow Bob gets locked in asap

Yep, feel like he'd be another depth player when most of our small forwards are depth players themselves. Need a bigger fish, but who?

Trade Targets
Very ‘comprehensive’ indeed

Lachie Henderson (Drafted by Geelong)
Could be a handy depth player, isn’t heaps in the way of key position depth on our list and could fill a need for a couple of seasons until a better option comes along

Jack Martin
Surely he can't name his price if he goes through the PSD?

Rory Laird
I tend to agree, however I didn’t really like what I saw from Hibberd this year. Looked slow and ineffective compared to his previous few years, with a talent like laird coming into his prime I’d say you’d have to pull the trigger if you had the chance. But if not here’s hoping Hibberd has a strong pre-season leading into improved consistent form next year

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Agreed. The last two months or so he’s been a lot better, I think his averages have been about 20 ish touches and a goal? I don’t want to trade him and see him become a star somewhere else, after the year we’ve had that would be pretty upsetting

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL
Liked what I saw from Wagner, Lockhart and KK especially today - all looked a step above the rest. Petty took some pretty awesome intercept marks I thought and played a solid game. Lefau for Casey also intrigued me, looks like he has good footy nous and natural talent, one to keep an eye on maybe.

Braydon Preuss: The Forgotten Man
Similarly what Gawn did with Jamar

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Hopefully a sign that we’re putting in work for him early, would be a great acquisition

Rumour File
Fremantle are trading pick 6 to port for pick 10 and a pick in the 20’s..

Rumour File
Apparently we’re into St Kilda’s Ben Long. Haven’t seen much, if anything of him. Only 21 and was a high ish pick in 2016. Anyone have any info?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Completely forgot he was pick 2, I’m rather excited for this trade period. With or without Hogan we’re looking pretty moist

Farewell Jesse Hogan
What would you rather? I’d rather a pick but I don’t really know how good Brayshaw is

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Gawn a free agent or out of contract next year yeah? Hope all of our younglings listened to Lewis when he was preaching about taking pay cuts to stay together.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Was just thinking similarly, maybe the media is misinformed about the circumstances about their "meeting". Could've just been "coincidentally" running into each other and goodwin happened to get Levers thoughts on footy for next year

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I thought you weren't allowed to trade out of the first round two years in a row? As we traded our 2016 first rounder in 2015, correct me if i'm wrong
