Must say I struggle with the concept of this. Many if not all players have played since a young age. I would think to even make it at wafl/ vfl / sanfl level, you would need to be able to kick. I is hard to believe we have a group of players that get paid to play but can't hit a target from 30m. Having watched some of the 70s and 80 s games lately, the skill level is much better. I understand the pace of the game but simple skills aka the Hawks, are still a must.

I also think weeds should have a big gym session next year and we see how he goes. Be like a new recruit

For me, my wish list is 1. Gaff or Whitfield ( both be fine) 2. Lever ( with frost signed not such a hassle) 3. Ac chee from port - 3rd or 4 th round pick 4. McKenna ( depth type player) 5. A back up ruckman would love Kelly but very unlikely. I think we need to keep 1 round next year unless we land lever and gaff/ Whitfield. This years 1 round draft pick to be used as trade. We need some 50 plus games, quality players of which lever and gaff/ Whitfield would be. Be happy with that !

Abe you are on the money. Go to a few eagles games and gaff is not the one ripping open the pack. With Viney and jones etc we don't need that. Gaff would be a perfect fit. Not sure about pick ten. A coin toss. But if we grab their 2nd round as well , maybe.

Hate to say with all the speculation, but we could have had Dustin Martin. Instead we ended up with a guy leaving us and another who broke down. Lets hope that this years draft uncovers another Martin for the mfc!
