Bernie was brought in for maturity. If we had pick after pick we would be young. GWS mixed picked with older players. We have improved and thats all we can ask for.

Must say it would be sad to see JW gone. I believe he made big steps last year before injury got the best of him. Endeavour? He was a ruck, midfielder, forward and back man for 7 weeks in the middle of the year and without him, we would have been stuffed. Wait and see. Would be happy if we swapped him for Ac Chee and a fourth rounder.

The trade period should be 3 days. So far .....nothing. For goodness sake, each club knows what it wants and needs, so get it done. If it was 3 days, all the crap would be done and the trades would be getting hammered out. AFL is getting more like the Bold and the Beautiful each day. Sam Gibson was delisted by the Kangaroos today after playing every game in 2017 and finishing 6th in their Best and Fairest. Would be keen to grab Gibson for a year or two. Would be happy with a lifeline and we could get inside info on the one team we can not beat!

Problem for me is hogan will head back to Perth in the next 2 years. Schache is a vic lad and if settle should be good. If we get freo 1st round for this and next and use that to get schache. Use our 1st round and second next year to get lever. Bilac for 4th rounder if we trade JW for second rounder use to get young mid. Grab Gibson from NM for free. Keep 1st rounder for next year.

Lots of talk over in the west that dockers will make a play for hogan. Eagles may look at him but unlikely. If eagles: darling and a 1st rounder If dockers: 1st rounder and player but god knows who. Have a feeling it may tear its head again. I love JH but like darling at eagles, wonder with what has happened where he wants to be in 3-5 years? Is Gibson worth a look from NM. Age is other side but healthy and could be rookie listed?

As a junior looked the part. Was touted as top 10 pick before injured. Just never settled in freo. Wearing purple would be quite soul destroying . Could be that outside run player. Has good size and with a solid preseason could be a star. If we get with pick 45, a bargain.

Must say if they push him out after he has stated his desire to stay and get on the train, I would be disappointed. I would not be too happy if they throw him out.
