Early in the game brayshaw kicked a goal and Salem and him celebrated like they had just won the premiership. Similar to recent years when we celebrated a win way too much. One day I hope I get to see a ruthless mfc where goals/wins are just business as usual!

We panicked once the saints showed they were prepared to have a crack. Intensity only came when it was too late. And we look very slow on the mcg

We now seem to be good developing players, had an excellent succession plan for Roos, it makes sense to promote Josh Mahoney after serving an apprenticeship under the great man

A little part of me wonders how these guys would have turned out with the current coaching team. Were most of them spuds or did the club fail them. Probably a combination.

Another thing struck me at the game was our ever improving foot skills. However the reality is that it is the next person running hard to position giving them a great option.

Funny how it wasn’t that long ago I would be a nervous wreck when the ball was in our backline and cringe when thinking how it would get out. Now I’m relaxed and enjoy watching them from the backline constructing a beautiful forward entry.
