What a great player Clarrie is! I watched Barrassi, Dixon, Spencer, Flower ,Petracca, Schwarz, Adams( not Jed, I’m anfraid!) and Stynes, representing our club. Clarrie is right up there with them . I don’t understand why a club would dispense with such a star. ( I know there must be reasons that we fans aren’t privy to)Apparently he was much loved by team mates. GWS must be laughing. I wish Clarrie all the best at GWS.- PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
I’ve been hoping Jed Adams would develop into a good AFL player. Every time I’ve watched him at Casey , he’s been soundly beaten one on one. He played ok in his only AFL game, and he’s a good kick. I thought he was poor for Casey last week. TMac has a proven record as a defender. Please replace Disco with TMac.- POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Am I correct in saying that we delisted Omac and Wagner way back, and got nothing for them? They both looked like good AFL players today.- The Panglossian’s Puzzle for Pedants
Well done, Timothy! He realised that all the players have an “n” as the third letter of their surname. Too obscure? He deduced it with a couple of vague clues. Sorry I missed your PM’s Timothy….I’m not very familiar with the PM link.- CASEY: Rd 01 vs Footscray VFL
There’s a hell of a lot of chips in a bucket!- GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Freo have 4 exDees…Jackson, McVee, Wagner and Omac. Normally I wish these guys well, but tonight I hope they have ‘mares!- The Panglossian’s Puzzle for Pedants
Hint….you could make the team, Mande, if you,d played AFL/ VFL. Man Dee is on the right track!- The Panglossian’s Puzzle for Pedants

I’ve had very little satisfaction in trying to solve Demonstone’s and Timothy R’s footy team quizzes, so I’ve tried to devise one that will baffle them. I’ll be disappointed if (a) someone gets it straightaway , or (b)people say it was too obscure when I finally divulge the solution. The players all have something in common, but it’s not footy related. Backs. Andy Moniz- Wakefield, Chris Langford, Brenton Sanderson Half Backs.Jack Sinclair, Kenny Hunter,Xavier Tanner C. Ed Langdon,Scott Pendlebury,Jack Henderson Half Forwards. Geoff Tunbridge,Jacob Van Rooyen,, Caleb Windsor F.Jack Gunston,Jason Dunstall,Jack Ginnivan Rucks Damian Monkhorst, Scott Wynd Rover Jack Viney Coach Ken Hinkley Interchange,Nas Wanganeen Milleara,Josh Jenkins,John Ronaldson,Peter Sinclair,Austin Wonaeamirri,. PM ‘s please , if you want to have a go. ps…..they’re not all little known banjo players for obscure blue-grass bands…or anything like it!- NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Let’s get rid of him !- NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Try to make it 186, Suns.- POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
If Kozzie did that, he’d get a life suspension.- INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Has Luker grown? He’s supposed to be 195 cm, but is competing with 204 cm Heath in the ruck. With no Gawn, Campbell and White , we’re pretty light in for rucks. I’m glad they’re not burdening Roo with Rick work. It helps his forward play. He looks stronger.- INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Jeffo goal in accuracy resembles a true Dee forward- INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Were they calling Van Rouen “rooter”?- INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
That’s poor Jeffo- INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
I presume they’ll have proper umps, and I hope the new “stand” rule is strictly enforced. Hopefully the players will learn from it. I don’t want us to be giving away lots of 50 m penalties this year.- Crikey! Another puzzle, Tim?...As if!...No; seriously?
I’m struggling, too! ( no need for a PM !)- Wade Derksen
He’s a terrific left foot kick….I’m enthused about that.- Bailey Humphrey

I can’t believe some people actually worked this out!- Please explain
Also ,that was the year when we usually played in front of empty stadia. So for a change we weren’t in “cauldrons of hatred” for the whole season. Even in our home games at the MCG our supporters are usually out numbered . This affects the players, and the umpires. Not in 2021. - Farewell Clayton Oliver
