  1. Hannan: Watch me dob this from 50. Fritsch: Hold my beer...
  2. Great decision from the umpire. He had the fend off and then dropped it. Terrific forward 50 pressure from us so far. Two goals from holding the ball decisions.
  3. For those not watching... we're just a goal down. Not ten.
  4. Super kick out from May and great disposal from Bennell. Exciting stuff.
  5. Never looked like it. It's a shame as the effort from Pickett was terrific.
  6. You know how that goal came about? Brayshaw went to sleep on the wing. His player ran forward, got the ball and then had an eternity to hit Gunston on the chest. Not good enough.
  7. Dees by five goals. Jackson to surprise with 2 goals. Weid to kick 3. We will keep the Hawks to no more than six goals. Yes, I'm probably partially drunk. Maybe.
  8. While there is no doubt that Carlton are much improved, it's still glorious to see them lose like that.
  9. Agree with all of that. I thought you were making a point that Pickett has kicked more goals than Weightman, so apologies for missing the extra scoring shots. And I feel as though most supporters see last night for what it was - Weightman had a fine debut, but he is already a different type to Pickett. He might have hit the scoreboard but he didn't have the overall impact that Pickett has brought to the side since his debut. Both clubs would be very happy so far.
  10. And he hasn't got close to having the impact on a game that Pickett has in terms of his team play. I'll take the whole package, thanks.
  11. Rankine just kicked the first goal of the game out of mid-air. Arrogance and brilliance all rolled in to one.
  12. Dogs fans would be happy with his debut, but then I'm absolutely stoked as a Dees supporter to have Kozzie.
  13. Bruce gushing over a bloke with four touches for the night because he 'covers the ground'. I've heard it all now.
  14. Well colour me surprised, although not disappointed to see them go with Jackson again. The only worry I have is that their tall's will bully him a little if we just bomb it long, but I think he has the athleticism to potentially give them a few problems. Happy that we have backed in a winning side as well. Would have been no change if not for Tom's injury.
  15. And you know what all three of those goals show us? That the kid is a team player first. He has the smarts and maturity to see more than just what is right in front of him. He has the ability to execute well under pressure and make the right decisions. Once he starts hitting the scoreboard with consistency, which will come eventually as we need to remember he is only 18, he will be a threat to every opposition defence week in, week out.
  16. Yeah, Hogan took forever to develop.... And I love how you're quick to knock Jackson for having done nothing of significance and made some link to us not developing talls. The bloke's been on the list for all of 6 games.
  17. Spot on, LH. I love seeing the Cats lose. They will fall off a massive cliff in the next few years when some of their stars retire. They are still massively reliant on the likes of Dangerfield, Selwood, Ablett and Hawkins to win games of footy. They still have a few handy kids coming through but nothing close to replacing those four in particular. Horrible game to watch last night though. Weather didn't help and the umpiring was next level atrocious.
  18. Go on, do it. Give in to the temptation of using your wonderful creativity in calling him 'Goodloss' again.
  19. He might be annoyed, but he was a very late call up to our list. He's probably just stoked to be given a third crack at it. It will be one of Smith, Tomlinson or Jackson in for Tom Mac. Maybe Jones can also sneak in somewhere, but not sure who for or where they would decide to play him.
  20. No, but we have plenty of MFC branded de-fib machines.
  21. Goody just confirmed that Tom McDonald won't play this weekend.
  22. You can hear what's being said, but it's clear that the message he was sending to the players was that they didn't listen to it - that being, they didn't make changes based on what was being said or allowed it to affect them or their preparation. Thus they heard it, but didn't listen and allow it to change anything. Big difference.
  23. There is a large difference between knowing what people are saying and actually listening to it.
  24. Drop Kozzie? Tell him he's dreaming.
