  1. Or, on the flip side of that, did he make the right decision in keeping Weideman out of the side until now? He has come in and really made an impact, which could very well be down to how we have managed him up to this point. I won't argue that we clearly should have been going with two talls, especially against both Geelong and Richmond, but I think Weid has come in ready to go and some of that has to be down to how the coaches have managed him.
  2. Yep. Starting to believe he doesn't actually support the club. There are a few of those around these parts. Good effort joeboy. Agree with others that I think Jetta played quite well, and kept Wingard pretty quiet, but the rest seems spot on.
  3. Just wanted to highlight this - while he will have some quiet games over the coming weeks, I think we got a real glimpse today of why we drafted Jackson at three. He did it all - good skills, took some key marks, and even laid some really important tackles. He has got plenty of strings in his bow and I'm excited to see him develop.
  4. To everyone - enjoy it. While it's only a win during a long season, smashing the Hawks by 7 goals is something you can't ignore. They have embarrassed us so many times over the last decade and now it's our time to start paying them back. Trac was sublime. Gawny stood up as captain and dominated all day. Viney and Oliver were awesome in the engine room Jackson was the right pick and was terrific. Our backline made them look ordinary, and they have been building to this for weeks now. Everything is starting to come together and it is exciting to watch. Go Dees!
  5. I am absolutely loving this. Nothing better than belting the Hawks!
  6. Love seeing that. Exactly the sort of attitude we want from our head coach and our players.
  7. @praha - Weid has two, Jacko one and Hawks have just four goals. Surely the prediction can't come true... ?
  8. For how bad we looked in those first ten minutes, I've been impressed with the response. Mids have stood up, Max has taken some good marks (as has May) and we have taken our chances. Good to see a little maturity there, although there is still a long way to go.
  9. I like him for the toughness he brings to the side, but he suits the chaos ball well - better at bombing it to a contest than trying to hit someone lace out. He rarely does it.
  10. I've been a fan, but he has missed pretty much every target and even dropped a few marks. Might be time to send a rocket up him by dropping him from the side.
  11. Boy did we need that. Great vision from Trac and then nice skills from Jackson as well. Good stuff.
  12. [censored] off Brayshaw. Seriously. Lazy, rubbish football.
  13. That was well worked, even if we almost stuffed it up. Big ten minutes coming up. Who is going to stand up and turn the momentum back our way?
  14. The Hawks won't roll over. We need to be ready for that.
  15. I don't think it's too far fetched to say that is probably the best half of footy we have played since 2018.
  16. KOZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
  17. Playing very, very well. Love his efforts around the contest. He has nailed some terrific tackles so far.
  18. Ling: "I'm okay with that not being called holding the ball". Further proof that he is a terrible, terrible commentator.
  19. The Trac kick was sensational, but it only came about due to the wonderful vision from Fritsch to hit that pass. It was unreal.
  20. Full credit to Lockhart for his hardness at the contest that stopped the Hawks from getting their hands on the ball on the wing. Excellent commitment to the contest.
  21. Bennell and Pickett make our forward line so much better. Back line also doing a sensational job so far.
  22. This will sound a little ridiculous, but it's great to see Jackson mark that one on the lead. Will do wonders for his confidence after missing a few against Carlton. Great start from us as well.
