God damn. No wonder our fans are a laughing stock. Screw up our developement? We have had 6 Top 20 picks in two years which we will add too at the end of the year with 2, possibly three more. 8 picks in the Top 20 in 3 years should be MORE than enough. We can still add Garland, Watts, Blease, Strauss, Maric, Aussie etc. etc. too the current 22 out there playing, not to mention further development in a host of other players. I feel sick to hear fans whinge when we lost and cry foul that it's screwed our development. It hasn't in the slightest.

How can you actually go out there and lose? We will still get at the very least a Top 3 pick which will still land us a gun midfielder. Didn't help that Port were absolute shite today either, when the other team doesn't show up there isn't much we can do about it.

I'd like to see you go in harder. He is 18 and weighs only just over 80kg so it's not surprising his attack on the footy is not up to scratch. He is, however, all class with the football in his hands.

Two of our forgotten men this year! Bucks may not have the greatest disposal but his run and pace from half back and through the middle has been missed. And Wonna, well, he will slot very nicely back into the forward pocket at the feet of Watts, Jurrah and co. We still have alot to look forward too!

Will they give both Watts and Jurrah another run? Dunn deserves another chance, hasn't played ones in at least a month and it's better than just bringing someone like Bartram back in again...

However, this is the sort of stuff that goes too far. Watts is 18, 85 kg and playing in the forward line for a team that has a completely rubbish midfield. Waaaaaaaaaaay too early to judge.

And here I was thinking Bailey was the coach, you know, the person who is supposed to COACH the players how to do those things. I don't want to turn on Bailey, I really don't, but this is almost too much...

If we stick with this game plan, we will be woeful for a VERY long time. I'm actually rooting for us to get well and truly smashed now so SOMETHING happens, Bailey is in huge strife and there will be no hiding from it now.

I really hate having a crack at the coach, but does everyone agree that this finally puts a LOT of pressure on Bailey? I refuse to accept that we are THIS bad with the players we have out there. I don't expect us to win, but I expect us to have a crack and we don't do that at all. It's as if guys like Bruce, McLean, Moloney etc. can run around without manning up and doing the team things and know that they will just get away with it. Our game plan is unravelling before our eyes and it's finally being shown for what it truly is - pathetic.

I'm really starting to worry about us now. The last thing I want to do is have a crack at Bailey, but I don't think he has any idea what to do when it comes to game day. We are never up and about and we do the same things EVERY WEEK!!

I feel sorry for our backline, they work so hard to get it out of there and it comes back in twice as fast. Our forwards don't put any pressure on and they run it out so easily every time.

After watching the game I came in here just to see whether or not someone would be silly enough to start a thread like this, and lo and behold, what do I find? "Is Naitanui better than Watts?" Ridiculous thread.

Really like the pressure that the forwards and midfielders are putting on. No doubt that Juice has really added this aspect to his game which is terrific to see. Impressed with Dunn so far too - if only he could bring this form with him into the senior team!

I like how you try to "back up" your claims by mentioning that McLean is clearly not right from his ankle injury. As far as I can remember McLean has ALWAYS been slow. When I see Moloney on the injury list and out of the side then I'll believe what you have to say.

He has something that our club sorely lacks - footy smarts! Knows where to run, looks like he has all the time in the world and more often than not he hits targets. Is quickly becoming a very, very good player for our football club!

It has all come down to disposal and decision making today. Too many times we work so hard to win the football and we just turn it over again and again. It's either going forward and missing targets, or kicks coming out of the backline!! Once we eliminate these we will start winning football games on a regular basis. Until then, however, we will always struggle! We have worked very hard today though, I'm just holding out for the day when it "clicks"!

Another round, another thread where posters want players dropped who are in the starting 18. How long until you realise that they WON'T be dropped? The only changes will come from the interchange bench unless there is a late injury.

I want you to tell me how we can win this game - you're always trying to prove how much better you are than every other poster here, so tell us how we win this game. I'd love to win every game we play, but c'mon, I'm not going to to say we'll win this game just because it's my team.

While I see where you are coming from Fan, what would you rather have us do? With where the club is at I think it's only fair we be realistic. The form Geelong is in is unbelievable and we are still a few years away from being truly competitive. That's not tasteless, that's just being realistic. Nothing wrong with that.

Add Bennell to the outs and I'd be happy with those. We need some class and grunt for us to even get within 10 goals of the Cats next Sunday!
