  1. O'Meara and Ablett if he doesn't play. They aren't missing much else so I have no idea where he is getting his 'bevvy' of stars from.
  2. There is mate, it's here - http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2015-03-29/new-melbourne-tvc-30-second It goes for 30 seconds.
  3. We are a bit touchy today aren't we ProDee? His point was that, just because a team has a new coach and new gameplan, doesn't mean we are either going to win or in with a chance of winning. Some teams respond well, others take time.
  4. I enjoyed it. You aren't going to please everyone though. Some will think it's great, others will hate it. If you put that aside and look at what the ad is trying to do, which is to re-connect with the city, then it's the right way to go.
  5. We are still very much a confidence side. We still don't have the capacity to get back into games like many of the others, so if we can get our tails up early, as you mentioned, then we are certainly in with a show of causing an upset. It's a big if though.
  6. P.S - time to update the contracts to reflect Salem's new contract as well rpfc! Edit - wrong poster.
  7. True - if he wants an unreasonable contract then he can walk. If he wants to be sensible and smart about it then I'm very happy for him to stay.
  8. Unless he has a sensational year then Howe isn't worth a Treloar or a Shiel. He is a handy player, and their hail mary trade offer was huge to say the least, but isn't worth either of those players.
  9. Cheers for the updates MNY, if you still have time there is nothing wrong with putting up your thoughts alongside KC. It's much appreciated.
  10. Don't get my hopes up any further than they already are P-man. I don't think I can take it!
  11. I think I try to talk myself out of the excitement, as if the lowered expectations will make the losing hurt less. Never works. I can already feel myself thinking of all the matchups we can 'win' and how their players aren't actually that good. Such is the life of an MFC supporter I guess.
  12. That's true. If you can give a report on the game, or a few thoughts afterwards, it would be appreciated.
  13. I'm a sucker for punishment mate, as I'll be driving up still feeling excited for the game ahead... only to have it shattered by half time. I can't help it.
  14. I have a feeling his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek when he asked the question. Will be keeping an eye on Demonland tomorrow to see how the boys go for Casey. I still think there are a few spots up for grabs if there are some standout players from the weekend.
  15. Agreed. Interesting bit on Howe too - the HUN is reporting Howe is now more than likely to play in Round 1 than not. Taken from an interview with Roos today, all depends on how he pulls up over the weekend and after training early next week. Seems as though they are very keen to get him out there for Round 1, even without any match fitness.
  16. Just on this last bit - Partrick Keane tweeted that Petracca has been placed on the long term injury list, but no replacement at this stage has been named. I think we could assume that if vandenBerg doesn't play for Casey then he is likely to be elevated to the senior list in time for Round 1.
  17. I've always preferred Pedersen as a backman. He has he strength and enough size to go with most forwards and he can take a good contested mark as well. Plus it keeps him in the game a bit more.
  18. We won't be 0-8. It just won't happen. We aren't that bad of a side. I think 8 wins is a realistic expectation, and I think we can pull off the odd upset (like Adelaide last year) this season as well.
  19. That's good to hear then. As I mentioned in my first post I thought it was terrific that the club got on the front foot and put it right. As m'kaay said his kids will be stoked with what they get and they will get right behind the club, which is what we want.
  20. If you re-read my post I was very positive about the response that m'kaay received. I thought it was terrific. I like how you realised at the end of this post that you hadn't even bothered to comment on the thread itself, so well done there. Now move on.
  21. I'm not wrong though. Thanks for your contribution and rebuttal though. It was terrific to waste 2 seconds on.
  22. Terrific response from the club. Really great to see. It would have been even better had it not gotten to the point where they had to do it, but their response shows that they can get on the front foot and put it right very quickly.
  23. I agree, although it's a side that has plenty of X factor - Ablett, Martin, Bennell, Prestia. Those are 4 guys that can tear us a new one. It's a beatable side if we play well enough, but there is still the potential for us to be well beaten too.
  24. He is obviously the whipping boy, like a Grimes, who is left out of mock sides by supporters even though it's clear they will be picked when the real stuff begins.
  25. Poorly I hear, plus I believe he is not happy about Leicester City and their fight against relegation from the EPL.
