  1. This. Carlton will want something exorbitant for him and hopefully we aren't dumb enough to bite.
  2. Wrong in this case bing - mo64 just said he made errors. Saty was the one who prompted him with the question of what they were, so he answered. Not his fault.
  3. I hope all of our players make it mate, but Fitz is one of those that, to me, won't. It's not a knock on him personally, I just don't see him cutting it at AFL level based on what I've seen.
  4. Hate is a strong word angrydee - I don't hate any player on our list. Not even close. It's more a comment on how easily our views on various players can fluctuate so quickly. If someone plays a half decent game in the magoos they can be talked up as someone who can come in make a large difference to the side - some players will have that capacity but there are others, like Fitzy, that in my opinion won't make that impact. McKenzie, M. Jones and to a lesser extent Bail, are others in this group.
  5. I find this sudden appreciation of Fitzy rather bemusing. He plays one good game as a backman against a pretty poor side and we are quick to sing his praises and some sort of swing man who will bring all these positives to the senior side. How quickly we forget that he was tried as a second ruckman... and failed. He was then tried as a key forward... and failed. I'm hopeful that this trial down back brings something good to his game but let's not get carried away here. Gawn, Spencer and Pedersen will all get a gig before he does.
  6. Pedersen should be the one to replace Frost - he has more experience as the back up ruckman and he has enough mobility to satisfy Roos and the game plan. Michie also deserves a run and may possibly come in for someone like Kent. Outside of that I wouldn't make any other changes.
  7. Good point Chook. It may be a case of everything 'clicking' so to speak - that could be Round 7 or 12 or 15 - but if we keep the effort and the unity up then it's bound to click for us and look awesome in the process.
  8. Not nuts at all P-man, although we still need plenty to go our way to finish that high up the ladder. Friday night will be a good test for us. We are back on our home turf against a side that I believe we aren't too far behind. If we can bring the effort from Round 1 and 3 into most of our games this season then we are a good chance of knocking of more teams than we expected. Still a big if though.
  9. And the good part about those players above is that they also contributed to the game offensively as well. In the past our players might have shut down one of their good players but not added too much to the contest itself. Viney and Vince have both shown they have the capacity to limit the opposition while contributing for us going forward.
  10. Yep, an interview that clearly had no bearing on his commitment and intent towards the game. You've missed the mark - again.
  11. Yeah, Vince was totally blase about the game on the weekend. Keep digging mate.
  12. Curry and Beer is welcome to apologise to Vince, like he had to with Brayshaw, after he labelled Vince's pre-match interview 'pathetic' after he spoke about his time with Adelaide. I think Bernie has made it pretty clear where his allegiances lie now. There can be no mistake that he is a Demon through and through.
  13. The Tigers have absolutely creamed Brisbane. Is it a sign that the Tigers are decent, or that the Lions are terrible? Should be a good contest on Friday night though.
  14. We had one of those types of ruckman, but Neeld got rid of him...
  15. Vince's performance speaks for itself. No need to stoop to their level.
  16. Everyone though their additions of Beams, Christensen and Robinson would lift them above that middle pack. They still have zero tall forwards and zero tall backmen. Until they fix this they will continue to struggle as their gun midfield have nothing to kick it to.
  17. I can't even fathom how someone could even suggest dropping Nev. Betts hardly saw it all day!
  18. Really? 20 touches, 5 marks and 80% disposal efficiency isn't all that bad I would have though. Had an off day, like many, last week but was much, much better this week.
  19. He won't though because he gave Betts an absolute bath. I notice though that you aren't dropping Watts even though his was far more blatant... care to explain?
  20. I saw that too and it was great to see. Had the guts to calm him down and get in his ear about it. The kid will be fantastic for us going forward.
  21. The bottom line is that if we bring that sort of effort every week then we will win more games than we did last season. We did it against GC and won and then did it against the Crows and, had we kicked straight and taken our chances, it might have been a different story. We only brought it for a half last week and we all know what happened there. We are a genuine chance against Richmond on Friday night IF we play like this. Today is further proof of that. We ARE getting better, we are just taking the longer way to get there on a consistent basis.
  22. Interesting to see how easy it was to get under his skin as well. Bernie did a sublime job.
  23. I don't have any idea as yet, but you would assume that Frost will miss. The guys down at Casey have yet another opportunity to put their name forward as well.
  24. I just ignore these now. He certainly deserves some criticism today but every second post is some peanut trying to be clever about it and failing miserably.
