Not a bad idea considering they literally have no tall forwards of quality. We just need to get it to him first...
-
ANB the sub for us. Aish is their sub. Worried about their midfield - they stink at both ends of the ground but if their mids get on top and they get heaps of ball down there then they'll have to score sometime.

Triss all the way. He said Yen was a bit too serious for his liking and that, when his mum was in the other room, he could get Triss into bed much easier than Yen.
-
They are such a good football side. Great players who are superbly coached. The word envious doesn't even go it justice.

If you want answers then go yourself. You'll find that KC doesn't normally answer questions during a game as he is too busy turning up and giving scores throughout the game. If you want answers then generally others who go may give it or KC will give you a round up once he's home... from actually turning up to the game. Give it a rest stuie.

I spoke to him today mate. He said he was doing alright. Has been playing plenty of Witcher 3 during the week and said he is enjoying it, although the gratuitous sex in the game is a bit much for him. Said he had a roast dinner on Thursday night that was sensational but was disappointed with the new Terminator movie. All in all though he said he's had a pretty good week. He's trying to get Roos on board the Witcher 3 train as well but all Roosy does is take Geralt off in to the forest to 'meditate' all the time. He doesn't get anything done.

Thanks for the updates all day KC. Shame you don't have a PhD to satisfy some supporters but we can't have everything... Hunt kicking 4 will be the story of this game, and it holds far more weight than the day King kicked 5. Hunt has had a very good 3 weeks and, while he may not get a great deal of the pill, he can clearly hurt teams on the rebound with his pace and instinct for a goal, something that is a big positive in the modern game. I don't think he'll play senior footy this year but he is certainly giving himself every opportunity of having another season or two on the list to prove himself further.

Doesn't offend me at all mate, although it doesn't change the fact that we haven't made finals in a decade.
-
Agree, although you can understand the impatience after almost a decade of no finals. Exciting to see him backing up after a few good games. Hopefully he can continue to do this for Casey for the majority of the second half of the season.

Sensational display of a sense of humour stuie!

You been fishing today Stuie?

Not to mention the big win up there at the GABBA in 2002 when Neitz jagged 7 goals and monstered both Leppitsch and Mal Michael. Daniel Ward even snagged 4 goals that day including a ripper on the run in the third term. Ah, those were the days!
-
Even with Jurrah kicking 5 that game was hard to sit through. I'd rather us re-create the game where we smashed Brown and Fevola and piled on the goals on a Saturday night!

So assumption then? No worries. I see where you are coming from, but it's hardly fair to call Stretch, ANB and Harmes as possible NQR players. Tyson, JKH and McDonald are also stiff. They may not be the players we want them to be but they certainly have plenty of time on their side to prove they are, and most of them have shown that they can do it. -

I'd agree we are 5 to 6 short of our best 22, and if we can add 2-3 more to that best 22 in the off season and keep most of them on the park then we are a 9-12 ladder side. The problem right now is that the blokes running around down at Casey aren't up to it and don't improve the side. Miche, Riley, even Newton... they don't improve us. They are blokes who don't have the tank to run out games and, too often, they aren't two way players because of this. Roos won't play them for that reason. I think Newton can become that sort of player in time but the other two won't make it. -

Assumption or based on something? -
And they are missing them in perfect conditions as well which makes it even more annoying!

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 16
Wiseblood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He did say worthy of contending - it doesn't mean we will that year, it just means we are now in more of a position to do so. Having said that, how often have we been waiting for the list to contend? You could argue that we are in much better hands than we were at the end of the last decade, but we've been stuck waiting for our list to 'contend' for a very long time. -

Whose worth bringing in to the side who would improve it? Think hard about your answer. -

He's not and we're kidding ourselves if we think otherwise. Howe will play. Dawes will play. The sooner the majority here realise that, the better off we'll be. No one running around at Casey right now, apart from Kent in the development league, makes any difference to our side going forward. It's a term that's been thrown around a lot, but it's really just moving deck chairs. At this point it's better to pump games into the young fellas. -

As if Aidan Riley would make a lick of difference to the side. Same goes for Grimes and Jamar. None of the three mentioned seriously make us any better so we may as well go with what we have. It's not getting any better for the time being. -
Delistings/trades at end of the season
Wiseblood replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not really mate, and I didn't mean to single your post out as plenty of others have done it before you. But this site is terrific with off hand comments like 'I hear this and that' and then everybody is all over it and expecting the player to make the switch. There has been nothing about Prestia and, with the impending departures of Dixon and Bennell, it makes no sense for GC to let him go, and the unsafe workplace clause is a huge stretch. Don't get me wrong - I'd love to get him in our midfield, and Melbourne supporters love to pine after current players who supported us as kids, but Prestia becoming a Demon this year is not something I'd get my hopes up for. * As a side note, I'd be stoked to be proven wrong. -

Yep, signed a 3 year deal a few weeks back. -

This Prestia rumour is gaining plenty of traction without much to back it up really. Plenty of 'I hear' and 'I was told'... it's all pointing to a free agency period where we don't get Prestia and everyone cracks it after they were convinced based on not much.
