Good grief I've had it with you....... Is it possible for you to get through one post in any subject at any time without wishing death upon one of our players as you did in another post somewhere. I'm thrilled to have been able to keep my well known opinion on Miller under wraps this year largely because he has played better, which obviously escapes you. So for the love of god shut up and try sticking to the topics at hand, or I don't know support the players in our team, especially the ones that have actually improved. Then again you are probably the type of person who cheers when we fail, just so you can berate Brad Miller, whether he deserves it or not. And the unfortunate reality is its people like you that make this place far less enjoyable, and I have been around a long while. Its sad really, so congratulations  .

Brad Green won't re-sign this year
QueenC replied to Garry Lyon's Leg Hair's topic in Melbourne Demons
Personally, I hope Green stays...... But as has been said a few times by far more important people in here than me, if he wants out (and we have not seem or heard any confirmed or even remotely reliable information to say that it is, this thread starter aside) then there is the door, don't let it hit ya and we will get the best we can in trade. Having said that I genuinely hope that it is not, I like Green as a player and a person, and I honestly think he has more leadership qualities than some of the boobs in our current leadership group. I also like the way he is currently playing and there are people we should be getting rid of first. Just my opinion (and I am not getting into the drunken night out story, I just hope he had a good time) !!! -
Yeah, the commentary team said the same thing as well......

I am so jealous that I cannot be there for these kinds of matches....... I didn't even get to watch it on the box given we had the Swans on two networks up here. So I was left to listening to the radio over the internet while watching that AFL live scoring gizmo, with that nervous pit in the bottom of my stomach. But I must admit to getting a bit teary when the song came up. And with my birhday tomorrow, theboys have given me a truly great early present :D !!!

Demonland Player of the year votes - vs Freo
QueenC replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
You have my full and undivided congratulations for your enjoyment Jaded, keep up the good work...... And I am probably not particularly bright (or way too loyal) but I continue to not be able understand that total hatred some seem to have for anyone in our team, let alone the enjoyment many seem to get if particular players (well lets be honest this applies to Brad in particular) do something wrong. The irony is she probably went home disappointed in his excellent performance !!! -
Demonland Player of the year votes - vs Freo
QueenC replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
For what its worth (which I know is nothing now!!)...... 6. Brad Miller (and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed typing that) 5. Brock McLean 4. Austin Wonaemirri 3. Aaron Davey 2. Brad Green 1 Cameron Bruce Apologies to just about every one else out there, especially our defence, Garland, Rivers, Warnock and Frawley I thought were all great. -
Amen to that as well...... You would think that they will look at that "hit" on Daniel Bell, but with the MRP you really never know. And he is definitely a show pony, past his best (most of the time) and with very little substance to him.

15 Colin Sylvia possessions = 40 Cameron Bruce possessions
QueenC replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
My opinion for what it is worth and not just because I want to have my head bitten off........ I thought Cameron Bruce was decidedly wasteful on Sunday. I honestly didn't see a hell of lot from our new captain (which is an entirely different argument) despite his actually getting the ball in the first place, which granted is a big plus in a team of people who don't seem to want it at all. I have real issues, along with just about every other person here, with our midfield. There is no drive forward, which leaves the forwards with nothing to do, and subsequently puts our defence under enormous pressure. I am not telling anyone anything they don't already know, but that drive should be coming from players like Bruce, but he seemed to either miss a hell of a lot of targets or find the target under the most amount of pressure. I am not in the YM camp of hunt, kill, destroy but for someone of his alleged quality and apparent leadership the output really should be greater. Although this does of course translate across the entire list at this point in time. I also thought that Sylvia was quite good. But that happy feeling I get is tempered by the years of inconsistent crap he has thrown our way. A player with his latent ability also needs to show a hell of a lot more or it will be his name on the trade list at the end of the year. And I like Col, but as a top draft pick he needs to start living up to the reputation that has been built around him. Hopefully he will in the coming weeks.....or else. But as I said, just my opinion !!! -
Make no mistake Bobby there aren't huge amounts of loyalty to our players around here even at the best of times...... So this is really no exception !!! That being said I do tend to agree with YM on this particular topic. I would also, if given the choice, be more inclined to trade Bruce than either of Davey and particularly Green. Just my opinion though !!!

Well said Bub...... I will take my interstate ass to any game that is reachable, therefore I will try to make it to Canberra, and would always go the Swans game at the SCG. But not being there for any number of reasons (poor health has kept me from making the trip south) doesn't make a person a bad supporter. I will always love and support the club (no matter what & especially now) but it, and the sport itself isn't everything. And that doesn't make me a poor supporter so I didn't vote, sorry!!!

My lord Bub, we can only hope !!!

Cheers mousey....... The site I used to use didn't have any links for it, but it was also a torrent site. So this is greatly appreciated :D !!!

Oh thank god for you Dan...... A slightly more common sense approach than the ever prevailing (albeit tempting) shoot everyone philosophy !!! No-one is denying that some more massive list changes will be around the corner, but basically we here seem to be ditching everyone with over 100 games next to their names, and then we will all whinge that there is no experience out on the ground. I know that some of these players have been disappointing, we all live in the same world, but a little more rationality around here could well be in order, or we will be just an upscale kindergarten, with the losses to prove it.

Here is the only link to the interview with Neita I could findat this point....... http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-au&brand=...sn&tab=m167

Thanks D08 :D !!!

That's what I figured...... But it is midnight and live and it is hard enough to get this stuff right during normal office hours !!!
-
Just watching Fox Sports News and they said that David Neitz has actually announced his retirement........ Did we miss something or are they misinterpreting the information?
-
And we appreciate it Cards !!!
-
Didn't Fevola smack him around at some point first? Or did I just misinterpret what was probably a congratulatory tap?

Neitz to go on long-term injury list

I have always been a fan of Greens, and I was happy to see the way he played on the weekend........ His consistency has let him (and us) down over the years, but I have always preferred him play a hell of a lot more forward than he has done in recent years. He is (or at least was) a great set shot for goal (and yes I am saying that despite a couple of shanks Sunday). I understand and appreciate the argument that he may go stale if left in the forward pocket permanently, but as has been said up thread there is nothing to say he can't rotate through the midfield and up to the forward flanks and maybe into full forward if needed to make match ups and defence that bit more difficult. His courage is perpetually underrated, and is a great kick of goal and can take a good grab. I definitely would like to see him up forward much more often.
