  1. Nice work Matt. The most interesting for me is the age variance stat, I guess we have very few 'veterans'' (possibly Cross our only over 30?) Never seen a 'fattest team' stat before, lucky this wasnt around during Dean Riolis playing days!

Tough week this week! Detroit Kansas City NY Giants
  3. Probably the worst offender in the whole league when it comes to referring to himself in the third person.

Wowee, just saw the score from the Lions-GB game! Rodgers was seen pre-game throwing 50+m passes in practice, better hope for Mike McCarthys sake he's taken off the PUP list (was he even placed on it?) Tips this week (didnt realise last week that one game I picked had already finished, doh!): New England Arizona New Orleans
  5. Given we've recruited a few similar guys to him this offseason, I would hope he struggles to get a game this year. Last year was a writeoff for Jordie with injuries so he's facing an uphill battle to be near our best 22. Also, I've never heard him referred to as "Jordan" before!
  6. So you've scouted all of the players we just drafted, and have compared their strengths and weaknesses to the players you mention above, as well as understand how they fit into our exisiting list structure and game plan?
  7. Came 3rd in Norwoods B&F this year, and also won their club award for "outstanding leadership and service".
  8. "Widely considered the best shut down Fullback in the SANFL" There's our depth at KPD
  9. the name "Max King" sounds like a brand of whey powder you buy from those health shops...
  10. 200CM! "The Giants can commit to recruiting the 200cm and 89kg prospect before the draft under their zone access to players from southern NSW/ACT, but could also sign him and then use him as a trade incentive player through October's trade period." http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-11/giants-eye-young-king
  11. From one of the threads: James Harmes (VIC Mid) Height: 184cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 05/10/1995 Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays Style: Player comparison: Range: Late - undrafted Profile: Harmes is an aggressive midfielder who inside the contest really attacks the ball hard on the inside and will go in for it. Hes got above average pace and can also at times push forward and take a mark. http://bigpondvideo....t-james-harmes/
  12. KPD has to be our biggest weakness depth wise right now. Take the best kpd with pick 2, Tippett right in the mix there. Then next best mid at 20. after that best talent available regardless of position. Last years rookie draft netted us Clisby so wasn't a bad result. edit: forgot about Jake Best, he was a revelation at Casey this year, would love to see he or Tim Smith in Dees colours next year
  13. every time I see a photo of the cup being held up from our last premiership, I see Ron Barassi in a Collingwood guernsey.

  15. Just about my favourite place to eat in Footscray! lamb skewers and dumplings.Although we are spoilt for choice in the inner West. On the jumper, as long as it's red and blue I don't care I will follow it.
  16. Some good comparative players there pennant. All are 'in between' size, competent footballers who are all susceptible to inexplicable brain fades. But all play an important role in their respective (generally stable) backlines.

Lions Jets Chargers Tough week this week! then again they probably all are judging by our cumulative scores...
  18. Last (this) years pre-season draft, to show its virtual irrelevance nowadays: First round 1. Bret Thornton 3. Sam Colquhoun 6. Will Hams 8. Jack Hannath 10. Nick Joyce 11. Kurt Tippett Second round 12. Dean Brogan 14. Jesse Crichton

  20. Laud the young, lambast the old. This is such an easy argument on here. Lets have a look at the stats shall we? Disposals per game Avg (2013): Gawn 8.9. Jamar 8.1 Marks: Gawn 2.9 Jamar 2.3 Tackles: Gawn 2.5 Jamar 3.1 Hitouts: Gawn 18.6 Jamar 33.1 (Spencers were 10.0, 3.1, 2.4 and 26.6) Neither of these two are setting the world on fire now, are they? There's a negligible difference between both of them, other than the chief responsibility of the ruckman, to win hitouts, where Jamar is way ahead. I cant find hitouts to advantage figures anywhere but I'd hasten to suggest both's are pretty low by league standards. Gawn may be a character off the field, but showed fairly stilted development this year. Spencer shows desperation and enthusiasm, but still doesnt look a natural. Jamar is ageing and slowing, but for Round 1 still our best bet.

Fractured collarbone for Rogers, no timetable of a return given. I see that the Pack have also placed Jermichael Finley on season-ending IR. Plenty of injury concerns down there. The logical replacement would be newly free-agented Flynn. Seneca Wallace underwhelmed in this game at key moments, as opposed to McCown. He was very comfortable out there, surprisingly for such a journeyman who if memory serves, did the preseason games with the Niners. The question then becomes, after 2 road wins at the helm, does he keep his job when Cutler returns? Always very odd seeing a game with two non-starter QBs at the helm, but it was a good game to watch. How bad is the situation at the Dolphins? What a lowlife Incognito is. Questions now need to be asked about the Dolphins handling of the whole issue, the whole hazing culture in that side seems out of control.
  22. The players have been enjoying a public holiday every Queens Birthday the last few years, they clearly didnt turn up to work!
  23. This includes the Under 19s and reserves, as you can see the years at MFC are listed as 83-86, yet he played in the 83 U19 Flag side....
