Via 7mate on demand or AFL website. Google "watch vfl Casey" you should find a replay. Worth a watch to see a cohesive 4 quarter team performance (as compared to Friday's hot mess)
  2. Totally agree. On form (and today's performance), there were a handful of players that should have been the sub ahead of Smith too. Geez I enjoyed watching Casey today. A high performing, cohesive team. Bittersweet
  3. Gus came to life as soon as he was released from Tagging Neale which was handed to Sparrow IN THE LAST QUARTER. Goody seems stubborn or too scared to make the changes when he should. Probably both I guess
  4. There was a point about 14 mins to go in the third and May was kicking in. He had the courage to drill it hard down the centre corridor to a one on one and back Rivers to beat his opponent. It was great to see him try something different. The problem was that Rivers next closest team mate was Hunt out on the wing. He was at least 5m outside of his opponent on the far wing. He has the pace. He was supposed to have the hunger? Remember he was supposed to have the HUNGER! But he just was jogging behind his opponent outside of the kick. Was he coached to stay out wide? Or was he just dumb or lazy? He had the opportunity to make the dash into the corridor to help his team mate but he didn't. Result.... Rivers lost the contest, turn over and then goal to the lions I think. It's just so frustrating and excruciating to watch us slowly die over three quarters in a final.
  5. There were at least 5 out on the full. Disgraceful entries into F50 and totally dysfunctional forward line. I know BBB has been poor but try having two opponents and the ball bombed in on your head all day. He's great as a second tall forward with lots of room to lead into one on one. Where did our kicking skills go over summer. We were laser like last year and all applauding Chocco for his skills coaching. So many stupid kicks in the air to team mates instead of flat fast passes.
  6. We can all sit back and watch JVR, Chandler, Dunstan. And Bowie carve it up in the VFL tomorrow. It's criminal to not have given them a better run at seniors based on their form and the lack of form and fitness of others. Wat does it say to these young blokes and subs who sit there all game watching injured team mates run out of legs in the second half. Insanity indeed
  7. I'd second that.
  8. Just like days of old. Numerous goals in deetime in numerous quarters. No mental or physical stamina
  9. There's about six out there that are going to be dubious by the last. Should be aN interesting finish if we don't bury them in the third
  10. Crazy odds with our form in the last ten weeks
  11. We always have a secret weapon when we play Brisbane. That weapon is Joe Daniher. Hoping for some more slapstick magic and hand on hips second efforts from him tonight.
  12. I was watching Kozzy limp around at the Gabba the other week too. I don't think he's quite himself either.

I'd prefer JVR to replace Melksham. I've watched a fair bit of VFL this year and the kid takes a great mark and is a quality set shot. He'd take a lot more pressure off BBB as a leading forward option than Smith would. We should have given him an opportunity six weeks ago. Goodwin really hasn't rewarded good form in the vfl much at all this year or punished poor games in the seniors. I'm pretty dirty with Melksham's misses opportunities but I doubt anyone will get dropped. Is it stubbornness by Goody? I dunno. I feel like creating some more tension for spots might outweigh the benefits of backing your regulars but it's not going to happen. If we drop this next final what does it say to JVR who has been consistent all year while watching BBB struggle and Gawn not perform forward. Dunstan, who failed with his opportunity mid season but absolutely dominated that first final Chandler, who has been playing absolutely manically the last few weeks. Casey has been a bloody solid team all year who have responded to a lot of challenges and knuckled down and won (apart from one game). I would have liked to have seen more rotation between the two teams all year. But nope.
  14. Umps doing everything they can for the cats
  15. Geelong are tired now. Poor kicking, I reckon they're shot
  16. That's what methamphetamines does for an atmosphere.

I'm really reflecting on the performance of our forward line two weeks ago vs last night. When the pressure is on, our skills and decision making falls apart. The same forward line that had us eleven goals up at half time were rabble last night. It's all about the delivery upfield and the space to lead into. I can't see how we're going to get that right against the top three teams but probably will next week against the lions. Really disappointed with Melksham's misses amongst others. I wonder if strategically, we would have been better blooding JVR six weeks ago and giving him a decent run. He's going to be the answer to our second key forward problems I think. He's got a great set of hands and kicks well too.

There really wasn't much in it at all and the fifty just gifted them another goal.
  19. Yeah he's off this year completely.
  20. Three possessions and one point
  21. Another great win. Go Dees, off to a great start
  22. That's a very small pair of incontinence pants. Enjoy and glad you're prepared for a close game.
  23. This can only work if the AFL can get sponsor logos on to the beams somehow. Maybe death lasers that explode the ball if it's touched. Seriously though. It's a good idea.
  24. We get to watch the clown go around again. Awesome
