I guess the Dees go through the "psycho babble" too. I reckon it's essential for a team at this level. Builds the right culture and mental resilience / positivity. You could hear Petracca talk about it late last year. Something like "I made a mistake, forget about it, clear the head, reset and go again." It's important to pick the right program. This one seemed to be about tearing people down. Our culture seems to be about building each other up. I loved Max's press conference after May got all lippy and punchy a while back. He talked about getting rid of that culture of putting each other down. How adopting a better attitude of stamping that habit out reflected positively back into his relationships with family and friends too. This boot camp stuff seems really whacky and toxic. I've trained with ex Special forces people when I walked Kokoda years ago. They were super impressive people and I learnt a lot from them about preparation, leadership following through on your word etc. However, tying to break someone down psychologically over a weekend and then having them dance nude in a drumming circle to build them back up sounds a bit Rugby League. -

Standing in a circle yelling obscenities at each other not having washed for days. I've sat in the Collingwood cheer squad before, they've been using this technique for decades.- 197 replies

BT's gardening tips and turf analysis over the last couple of weeks have been nauseating too.

Last Geelong goal was the result of a blatant push in the back. The cats forwards push their opponents in the back, head first into marking packs. It's a dangerous grubby practice and the never get penalised.

This could be hilarious yet

Port's kicking is just vomit

That goal in the pocket by Bedford must have been about four or five defensive efforts in a row by him. Just pure guts and persistence when the game was already in the bag. Great goal

Totally agree. Just watching JVR at 5.0 again today. I reckon we've got to give him a go for a week or two. Petracca needs to get his confidence back in front of goal too.

Maybe the umps are coached the same way 😁

Change the A to an O and the signs still useable

Vineys spin out of a tackle at full pace on that far wing which led to a goal was just beautiful. God he's great to watch at the moment.

I hate relying on other results lack days of old. Can't believe they've got out of jail again. Bloody great round of footy though

Surely not again

Chandler seems to be the form player at Casey at the moment. Really running and tackling hard. Who do you take out? Melksham? Not likely Harmes? Spargo? Not likely either. We really need two talls up forward. If we play with just BB or Weid by themselves, they just get smashed. If BB hasn't recovered, then maybe give JVR a run. JJ may need a rest. Hopefully Lever will be back in. I thought we played a pretty good first half. Our forward entries are generally still garbage though. I think we've got two major problems. 1. We're not as fit as last year AND 2. Teams have worked out how to spread use the corridor and switch play to beat us. We have the talent, not sure we have adjusted our strategy to counter the switching and centre corridor use by the oppo. If players are carrying injuries, they really shouldn't be getting selected. IN - fit players and a new strategy OUT - unfit players and the same down the line BS

Back in the basket back in the basket! Such a trivial thing but so representative of the way it slowly killed us. The start of the Third qtr when they got the first 7 of 8 frees made it pretty bloody hard. Did we play well in that second half? No not really but I reckon the umpiring may have cost us the game in the second half.

I think the dogs have a laminated pricelist from the umps
-
Our kicks into the 50 have been poor. Bad decisions kicking to the pocket too much
-
We're looking loose so far this qtr

Choccy milk in the huddle?

Mmmm fitness? I guess we'll find out this quarter. We need to tighten up on those umps, they're running riot
-
Geez Melk burnt Picket

Three non marks this quarter to the dogs
