GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
I really think we generally have the list and talent to be competitive and successful Old Dee. I think we are cr-p because of the dumb footy we have been playing. If we bring the pressure and lower our eyes as well as the coaches being flexible and responsive and willing to adjust against our oppo, we can be right there with the best of them. I think the players saw changes to our game plan last week and responded as they should. Hope we smash the poo and wees!

Yep agree. We have a long tradition of patting ourselves on the back after winning a tough one, getting full of bathwater and getting pantsed in the next game. Great pressure and better delivery last week but we've got to keep improving this week if we're going to match it with teams like the lions.

Racial Vilification of Harley Bennell
I haven't read this thread end to end but if it hasn't been mentioned, there was a bloody wonderful doco on the ABC a week or so ago. Really worth a walk in someone else's shoes. You can see how the system is set up to send a family like this into a tail spin. https://iview.abc.net.au/show/in-my-blood-it-runs

NON MFC: Round 07
It's quite revolting to even see Mcguire on the TV now. Such a culture of denial and cover up at all costs. The quality of commentary matched with interpritative dance by the umps is making the game really hard to watch. I don't even blame the umps, it's the commentators and AFL that drive "this week's focus will be on....." crap. Roy and HG don't call Gil the murderer for nothin.

Craig Jennings Analysis of Dees Game Plan
Not sure Rjay. He can be our biggest strength but Clarrys walking at the moment. He's off and I think a number of our players need to see changes to our plans too. Fingers crossed we see things shift this weekend.

Craig Jennings Analysis of Dees Game Plan
I agree Earl, I think he is stubborn is losing the players because the plan isn't working. I found the interview really enlightening. Goodys coaching.... Jennings had a dig multiple times about coaching to stats and not being flexible and creative with match day coaching. Even mentioned that we don't seem to evaluate the opposition's game plans and have a strategy to counteract it. The moves. Gawn defensive ruck and Tmac forward ruck makes perfect sense. It was so good to see Tommy up the field and getting his hands on the ball at last. I'm sure he'll play into form if we let him get more of the pill. Lever, also makes sense. If Gawn is in the back half more often, Lever has more opportunity to intercept and run off. That's his strength and currently we're not utilising it. He mentioned Tagging their best out of the game, Harmes role. Defend further back. Thats what every team does to us. Seems to work a treat. Clarry forward. Why not. I think the players need to see changes happening too.
