My old teddy that sings the club song last night went for $105 It shows anyone can help the club, in any capacity. Every bit counts!

haha you? Well i'm not sure how much we got for entry, food, darts etc but i know from the raffles and silent auctions that they made over 700. So hopefully the total got over 1200. Great base to build from

i'm pretty sure i remember most of it. It was a great night and a great atmosphere. Next year with more time it'll be much bigger, but everyone did a great job in such a short space of time.

Cherrybaby tried to get Hamish, because he's doing his guiness world record attempt for most parties attempted this weekend, but apparently starts in Brissie. Poor timing for me, workinga holiday program means i have no time in the day to do any organizing, or calling media. I'd say Warnock. Green has been great, but has always played up to this level, just probably never as consistently. Garland really has improved out of sight, but even then it's only his 4th year of playing footy, and is only young, so any improvement is to be expected. Miller has stepped up, but again, he is coached by the same man who essentially brought him to AFL, has been given responsibility and is now the focal point in a weakened forward line showing many of the same signs he has shown glimpses of in the past. Warnock, however, at 24, and previously looking more out of place on a football field than Sidney Poirtier at a KKK meeting, to now presenting himself as a viable option in becomming a key member of our backline

At the end of '04 with apparently promising signs on the horizon, you'd be a brave man to have said that you'd chose Jolly over White. So i think that, along with the loss of Simmonds, can be passed. Of course, Jolly is now a premiership player, but so is Armstrong, and so is Bishop, you'd be a liar to claim you saw these two wins coming the year before. Woey was not a big loss. Club favourite yes. But he dropped 7 possessions a game the years before, and became a tag a long midfielder amongst our crop the next year. When he left for Collingwood (admittedly in unwanted circumstances) he was no where near the player he once was, but having said that he was not the player he was even at MFC in '01 and '02 and therefore his removal was not a loss but a step for the future which never proved a wrong decision. TJ, not a huge loss. Skillful player who will deliver nothing when we are a premiership threat. Would be a huge loss if this year, or next year, we were a top 4 side with three guys who could take close tags in the middle. But we won't be up there for 2-3 years when Trav have stopped working for the Lions, isn't getting a game and Grimes is starting to find his position on an AFL field. Trav is not a huge loss, it was a huge decision which will have great rewards for our club in rebulding a lost culture of self respect and dominance through self belief and team unity.
