  1. OK, i'm glad i can note that you have no opinion, and to ignore your future posts. I never said the coaches were wrong, nor that they are irrelevant, but merely was discussing my interpretations of the game in relation to how others saw it. This is a forum, that is what this is for. Your lack of insight or a coherent argument is not helping your discussion here
  2. 1) What are you getting at? and 2) what's your opinion on what i brought up? If you agree with their decision then fair enough, i just found it odd that any Melbourne player would be deemed as being effective in a game we were so inept in for such a period of time. I didn't feel he was the 5th/6th most influential player on the ground, and i also feel leadership was possibly the thing we lacked the most in this match. Again, not having a go at Bruce, but just making a note that not many of us (one or two) rated his game vaguely in the top 6 for Melbourne, yet the coaches felt he was good.
  3. Haha it's the Australian Cricket Shirt

If she was male, she would be lauded for every piece she writes, would probably commentate the game, and would not be belittled over trivial matters like she is currently. Indeed it seems most of us agree
  5. There we go, fixed. And a lot of new fans, sponsors, etc. What a joke. They can't make Collingwood get a clash jumper, yet tell us to use another colour
  6. Our club simply must learn staff retention!
  7. I could say simply that a player's ability should not be considered when adjudging how well he played in a game, and therefore your remark fairly misses the point. I'm not having a go at Bruce, merely saying that out of 9 supporters ratings, only one gave him a vote and even that was the sixth best melbourne player. I find it odd that he would be judged the 5th best on the entire ground after the game he had. Now if you have something useful to add, i'd like to hear it. And yes, i realise coaches know more about footy than we do, but i still find it an odd/interesting one
  8. On Footy Classified, both coaches had given Bruce 1 vote. All i can say is...what can i say

Completely agree, Chook and Jaded, (obviously). It drives me bonkers. That playboy Ricky Nixon just smuggly claiming he might have another argument with Caro, honestly, over what? Because you're a man? Everything they say to her is so belittling, always insinuating that she's crap and wrong, yet never claim what she actually does wrong. Obviously you can never fully agree with such an opinionated person as Caro, but the way she is treated is a disgrace, and too many people subsribe to the "Caro is a crap journalist and should be hated" theory because of it. I've had many arguments with people who claim she's horrid, but can't substantiate it with any material
  11. haha it has his birthday at jan 1 1900, crazy they'd miss that. Mind you, the guy is 25! Been in their system 6 years apparently, i thought he was about 20! Very interesting stats nonetheless, especially games played
  12. Their average age is actually 25.1 (give or take a few fractions)
  13. It has joshua head listed as 108 years of age, so i'm pretty sure that's where it's gone wrong, i'm just adding it up now
  14. Average age of 29? 638 total years, if they had 4 below 21, that means the rest have to be 32. Is that stat right Deanox?
  15. Being an 18 year old first year player in a team without leaders when we're being run over the top of at Subiaco is a pretty good reason i'd think
  16. I'd pretty much rate vitriol as "concerns" over an 18 year old first player averaging 16.6 possessions a game, who has shown class and skill in the contest, and the "concern" is that he's genetically attached to his shortcomings. I'd say the bigger concern was that an 18 year old playing in Perth for the first time looked good, but then when the pressure was on none of his teammates lifted to stop the bleeding in the second quarter. A 46 KG player nearing the end of his first season is probably tired, and if he still makes the same mistakes in 5 years then i might believe your "genetic" theory, until then i'll keep laughing
  17. At least Bode was named in the bests
  18. I'll always defend Wheels just because, and pretty much anyone under 22.
  19. I hope we beat West coast, and hopefully one more. Freo will beat WC, and probably one more anyway. We'll have 3-4 wins and finish 15th imo
  20. BANG! I heard from my sister's boyfriend's uncle's neighbour who is an Iraqi refugee who lives in Darwin that Cale Morton actually has hands for feet, and so every kick he does is actually a handball, and he should be commended for getting it so far. BANG! By the way, is stupidity genetic?
  21. Away from home, with Bruce our only experienced leader out there today (and yes we all saw how well he led) it wasn't surprising that as soon as they got a bit of a run on and some confidence that they would run over us. We can't play on that ground (or AAMI) even when we're flying, and with no leaders and dodgy skills after 1/4 time we were always going to struggle. I saw enough positives to be happy, and enough of the bad to have a pretty good view as to what's wrong with our team and i don't think much of it is chronic. With age we'll improve a lot, age and proper leadership (something we missed in Green being absent)
  22. It's right next to Junction oval. 66 Fitzroy street from memory. It's a good spot for the footy, i'd go but i've got indoor at 645 (which'll suck if we're up at 3/4) pretty sure there'd be a few there
  23. Not only that Eastie, but usually a guy who's on a hard tag will come off when their opponent comes off (granted you now have to lodge your official documentation to come off about 3 weeks in advance)
  24. Pretty sure we will be wearing it tomorrow. But end of this, or next, season we are allowed to present a new jumper to wear as an alternate strip
  25. If Chunk is struggling a bit with a tag, i don't see any reason why he shouldn't then go to another player. Often when this happens, it ends up being a 2 on 1 for a while, freeing up a teammate until at least the coaching staff realise what's happening
