Rhino, out of interest, how come you seem to suddenly have issues with Meesen? (My apologies if you aways did, I just seem to only have noticed you posting them recently) Have you had these issues since/before we drafted him?

He'd been injured since round 1 hadn't he? Think he was close to playing and ended up playing the next week against the Kangas. Don't know why you would put a player as an emergency when he's injured. You either wait til he's fit and play him, or leave him out of the team.

If we can fit it into the cap, and very well in (i.e. the 92.5%) and keep our other players contracted, I suppose a two year deal wouldn't be out of the question. I don't see it happening, and wouldn't be over the moon if we signed someone so far out of our target age. I think our club is at a time where it really has to signal its own intentions and stick to its own direction rather than be swayed by big names

I'd have thought in debt demolition month the club would be going over the top with this. Ad's, posters, anything. All I've seen is a little link on the website (i hope it's just me missing it) Is this another thing we're missing out on because we have no home location? I remember SOS(Save our Saints) had raffle tins in lots of milkbars etc., the Dogs fund was likewise, tins, raffles, posters all throughout Footscray. It's been a great effort to raise so much money, but you'd think we'd try and wipe it fully, or at least as much as possible

So is the club hoping to wipe the whole 5mil in this one month? Because if so, and all they're hoping is for this steady stream to continue, i'm worried we won't even get close. Almost halfway through August and supporters (aside from the dinner) have raised 168,000. I can't see what anyone else would be waiting for to chip in, i hope there are more events planned to keep the total ticking over

Because this is a footy forum, and it's an interesting footy topic. I feel this board is too focussed on the Demons, which is fine to a degree, and ignores what's happening in the greater domain in footy. It doesn't detract from the focus on the Dees, and can serve to enlighten debate on Melbourne related arguments. And when did i offer sympathy? Just stating their coach is in trouble.

If you were going to get rid of Bell, surely you'd look to a trade rather than a delisting wouldn't you? 22 year old with 60 gams of experience who has shown in patches he could be a good player.
